There's no excuse for cheating.
You're just a lazy greedy fucker.
Instant permanent ban is what every cheater deserves.

I'm pretty sure starkad and I know Firn is busy.
They can't sit here and babysit the site all day and keep track of logs.

I don't recall the site ever being this fucking laggy.

Maybe there aren't that many cheaters, maybe it's just a lot of innocent clickers.
But this lag is really pissing me off.
I'm supposed to earn 120-130 eggs each day and I already missed out on two days.
I can't collect eggs, I can barely post, I can't do my plants.
Not fun at all.

I was thinking of just spending what I have and give up on getting all the items.

Look for me in the white forest
Hiding in a hollow tree (come find me)
I know you hear me,
I can taste it in your tears."

I liked the way they used to do the eggs, they were on certain pages and there were only a certain number a day per account, so botting wouldn't help you, and there wasn't a lag problem.

I haven't even been trying for the eggs, I gave up, I've just considered myself lucky if I can log in to collect my troth tokens and not have my eggplants wither and die, but I'm getting server refused connection and internal server errors or just pages that never load without giving me an error message, and I can't sit around all day trying to get into the site most days.

I'm glad Firn and Starkad decided to add the captchas, but there's sadly still some serious lag going on. :(

Right now, the lag is insane. I was able to feed my knuffel and dig last night because it cleared up a bit, but it's as bad as ever, now.

I really don't think that bot events are fair to regular users, since they ruin the game for people that aren't even participating, and if you don't run a bot, you basically can't play, since the prices for everything in the shop are so high now. I actually like the items, but what can I get with 12 easter eggs? Half the time for some reason I fail the captcha, too, and I'm *not* a bot!

The captchas aren't working.

If you keep failing the captchas I don't know what anyone can do - they seem pretty easy to me if you put a small amount of thought into what you're doing, so all I can say is try paying a little more attention? It's the same test the materials have always used, which works fine for most people.

I do agree though that the lag is not much improved. At times the site seems to be much faster, but just as often it'll slow to a crawl again. I don't know what can be done about that, though.

However, the idea that you can't do well in the event without a bot is just silly. I have over a thousand eggs, and I've gotten them all without even the smallest amount of cheating, just steady clicking throughout the day while doing other things; I haven't even been that dedicated to it, I'll often go wander off for a couple of hours and not get any eggs at all. You can play this event just fine without a bot, I think it's a little unfair to all of us who are doing so to say you can't.

You might notice, but I talk a lot. Words word words... never one when fifty will do.

I do not know how you are supposed to get the huge amount of eggs which is needed to purchase items in the bunny den.

I got 14 eggs and 6 days left.
Most of the time the website was too laggy to joyfully search for eggs.

It is kind of understandable why users cheated for this event.

(I hope you can understand my English)

Granted the really bad lag that started a few days ago has made collecting eggs hard, but it wasn't an impossible task. I believe it was only around 100 eggs per day needed if you were here from the beginning. That's totally achievable.

These events are just some added fun, something extra for people to do. It's not an invitation for those too lazy to try to resort to cheating. It isn't understandable at all. Those that have that mentality and cheat to get things are the ones that ruin things like this for everybody else.

Is it? So according to your logic, if someone see a high-end brand bag he wants in a store that is very expensive, it is understandable that he just steal it because he is too lazy to earn money for it?

I have to strongly disagree with this.

Finding the eggs is very well managable without botting. We had previous events like this, always with the same currency needed vs. currency drop ratio and people always managed to get multiple of these whole sets.

The only thing that makes it so difficult is the lag, but people have to understand that botting IS what is mainly responsible for the lagging. Yes, we had captchas implemented against this, and as some of you hopefully noticed, it did help a lot in the beginning. Sadly programs nowadays are well able to pass most captchas and the only method to make this bot-proof would be to add one of these horrible captchas that are even impossible to read for most humans, which I refuse to do.

And if you only got 14 eggs in 7 days it means that, at least statistically, you have made a total of 6 clicks on KOfK a day. If you expected that with 6 clicks a day you could get even a decent amount of eggs, then I understand why you thought it was difficult, but here on KOfK we like to go by the guideline that you have to earn things and put effort into things, and making 6 clicks a day is not really any effort.
I am in the process of writing my final thesis for university, so I do not come online on KOfK for more than absolutely necessary, which is just for reading posts in the Feedback and Support forum as well as making announcements, and even with ONLY that I have obtained over 200 eggs, without actually actively searching for any.

I am not saying it was easy to collect all eggs. It is not supposed to be easy, because easy is what makes event items worthless. But it is not impossible, or at least would not be IF people would not bot which makes all of us suffer from lags, including botters as the site doesn't function well for them just like for everyone else. So it doesn't make sense to bot at all, from no point of view, neither morally nor logical!

These kind of events have always caused lags for the first 2-3 days they run as well as around the few active hours around midnight, but now this lag is permanent, even when there are just like 20 registered users online and it should be impossible for this amount of users to create lags even if they all brows through the site constantly. I did not want to make such an event again, but people have constantly asked for them. It was a mistake to give in and we certainly will not have events like this ever again.

I am sorry everyone has to suffer from this. We tried our best, and starkad is STILL in the process of trying to optimize server function, though I do not see much hope here.

Cheaters suck and the lag is annoying. Seriously, is it really that hard to collect eggs on your own without using some dumb program? Sorry, but this pisses me off. I love these kind of events and if cheaters are spoiling it for me and others that makes me angry!
I've been trying to do my regular stuff on KofK, but because of the lag even the Eggplantation is hard to manage because I keep getting errors. I just failed a captcha test because of the lag. The test reloaded for some reason after not loading the page 4 times. I don't think I'm going to try to collect more eggs because I'm afraid I'll fail more captcha tests and get banned for something I can't help.
I'm sorry things turned out this way Firn with the Easter Event! :mccry: Good luck with your thesis!
