Personally I think they're both awesome! So, I guess it'd depend on what you want to portray in your comic. I'm not sure what is going on, so I'll tell you my observations (and assumptions). Hopefully they'll help.
This one gives me the impression that something obviously tense is beginning to escalate. Looks sorta like a stand off.
And
this one gives me the impression that we've passed the escalating moments and action is being taken. Dood looks kinda scared actually.
Comparing both: I really like that in the second one you can easily get a better feel of where the characters are and the environment (the city at night) whereas in the first one you could just barely make out the moon--though I'm sure that would have been changed later. Also, I like the cat in the second frame better--the first one he looks like he's smiling, which doesn't fit the mood the guy's giving off. The new guy in the second picture definitely adds more 'action' to the scene, though I'm not sure what he's doing--looks like he could be trying to stop your character...or push him off what I'm assuming is a ledge.
