Hm, I've never really thought about like... whether some characters are totally homosexual or heterosexual. It just kind of depends on who they're with, but I can think of at least one character that's definitely heterosexual. I tend to make bi/pans. Though for those with "two sexes" or ambiguous sex or no reproductive genitalia... it gets kind of difficult to know what to label them sexually and their preferences, though the one natural eunuch character I can think of at the moment isn't sexual (what a mess that would be if "he" was, since his age depends on how stressed out he is...) It's quite frustrating dealing with the limitations of English to describe characters and with use of pronouns.

On another note, I just ate some turkey bacon. I'm getting to where I really like turkey bacon. :9

I wanted to play a gender neutral character in DnD once. My GM allowed it as long as he was the one to make up my backstory. He decided I was born male but before puberty I had a fight with my father that resulted in the complete removal of my genetalia.

I wouldn't think that the same as being born-eunuch. As a matter of fact there was a case like that I think they considered more like intersexed. But what happened was the kid was being circumcised (as a baby) and they cut up his parts apparently and decided to change his sex and raise him as a female. In the end it was kind of a fiasco from what I understand, since he didn't end up identifying with females.

In the intersex community there is a lot of debate about gender-assignment on babies/children, before the individual themselves can decide. I think I read all that in the book Fixing Sex.

+Also, that's not very fair of him. I'd've been like Ginshuu and gone to challenge the gods of predestination (in Amatsuki- It's not a very popular manga, but I <3 it...)

As a gender dysphoric, I belong to the intersex community. I've never identified with my birth sex, and likely never will. I play the part, but I'll never really feel like I fit in with others.

Then why was the GM a jerk about your character? It's not like anyone would do that if you decided to play male or female. I'd've wanted to kick him in the balls.

Apparently I'm offensive today, because I was chatting in this thread on another forum about children's books and how I tend to like books better than movies. And this person got all offended, like I was acting all high and mighty or something. I just like the books, I dunno. When did books become a touchy topic...?

I think he was doing it because he and one of the other guys had a thing for me and they thought screwing with my character like that would make me settle on the gender they wanted me to play.

Some people can't be bothered to read a book... It requires too much brainpower and imagination. That means in their eyes, a book can never be as good as a mindless movie where they don't have to think about anything.

Man, I would've been so POed if someone was like, "this is how your character is gonna be." Sure, people have been like "Why you playing that character and why you being gay" and I ignore their dumbasses. Seriously pisses me off. I try to be tolerant, even with cisgendered folk, but, people, be off my back when I'm playing a game or w/e. When it's a one-player game it's not like I invited you to come watch me.

*Deep breaths*

Yeah, movies seem like they shoot the imagination down. Some movies I really like and think are beautiful artworks, but more often they are just "interpretations." What's screwed up is we were talking about kid's picture books. I'm having a reminiscent moment about reading rainbow and they're like, "get off your high horse." So I suggested politics, but we're talking weather now.

I feel blind-sided half the time.

Reading Rainbow was great.... I miss Wishbone.

People have pretty much given up asking me why I play the characters I play. Most of them don't know when my avi/character is what I am or when it's not. I switch out regularly, but I play both equally well.

On most MMOs I refuse to play the female characters, because their armor looks bleh. If given a third androgynous I'll play that or if I can really customize my female characters so they don't look like porn- I'll play them. I don't have an issue with soft porn, I just like to look cool.

I see no point in armor that only protects a body's nipples and genitals. In a real battle, it would be useless. I don't like that games what to put the females in metal underwear and deck the males out in what looks like a full on mech suit. I don't consider myself feminist, I just don't like double standards. If the woman is gonna be naked, the man should be too. It's only fair. I do play a lot of andro characters though. I prefer them, like my current avi. It is a male base, but the details look feminine. It could go either way simply because it doesn't have those pointy little breasts on it.
