This might be the most fair way, but it is a not convertible way.
You say an artist, which is not me, draws the Knuffel - What artist? I am the only one here. And even just these 20 Knuffel that are up for voting, that's 100 images (!!) to draw.
I took the most fair way to pick the winners that was possible with the means we have. Not saying the most fair way existing, but the most fair way possible....

I am regretting ever doing this contest.
It is starting so much fuss and hatred and arguments here. Wherever I go I see people being upset about some random aspect of the contest.

I hate contests, it is only unpleasant work for me. I did this ONLY for the user, there is like nothing in for me, just working, having to judge (which I hate), then I go through the extra effort and make special items to thank people for participating in a contest (a contest which I did only for them and not for me in the first place) and then it is just complains. This is not directed towards you only Eldrika, there are a lot of other people who aren't happy with the contest. So I just regret doing this. If I don't like this contest and users go as far as to say they leave because they don't like the entries (WTF?) or because they didn't get any of the gifts for participating, then, what the hell have I been doing all this for? No more contests from me.
I try to do something good and I just get slaps in the face for it.

Sorry, but I had to rant about this, it is eating me up.

I'm sorry you feel this way, Firn.
You try really hard to make users happy.

Maybe you can look at it as trial and error?

And there's always going to be people who dislike things.
You shouldn't let them drag you down to the point you regret doing things.

I saw a lot of people be happy about the contest and getting items for just participating.

I think you did a great job.

I'm sorry to read that Firn.
Honestly sorry because I'm afraid I'm part of the problem as I was one of the greedy ones who throw a tantrum just because she did not have those lovely items you designed.
It have been eaten me up since I did it, and I'm deeply sorry about that.

It's gonna sound weird, but I think you should not pay so much attention to what users say all the time.
We're human beings after all -and complaining when we don't get what we want is part of our nature- and we sometimes forget that the ones who run this site are also very close human beings -not just a team of people who's never around.
I'm very sorry if my words ever hurted you. T_T

You can't expect to please all of us at once, and I'd even say more: if you did the whole KofK experience would be less rewarding.
Let us complain but don't take our complaints too seriously.
It's great that you hear what we think, but you can't simply accept that we always have the reason -because we all can't have it at the same time, and there are always different opinions!

You do our best, nobody could ever ask you for more, and we love you for that. :qh:

You created a wonderful website filled with many happy users!

Its hard to look over the negative feedback...
But that’s only a small slice of the whole picture.

You made many people very happy for many reasons,

Amura, I wasn't even thinking about you when I wrote it. A lot of users said that they were unhappy about it and that's their right. But...you know, there are differences between saying "I don't think it is good that it wasn't told that participants would get items in advance" and saying something along the lines of "This sucks so much! It is unfair, I am done with this shitty site!".
I didn't do this to be unfair. To people who said this directly to me I explained why I decided to do it this way. Some understood, some didn't, but at least they were neutral about stating their feelings and opinions instead of throwing a tantrum and accusing me of being the most ignorant person in the world. You know, I could just not have given out any items at all...it would have been way less work for me... but I did and I am sad that I get criticized for trying to do something good in such a harsh way.

People complain. We all do.
But as l-lappy said you should not just see the negative feedback but the whole picture!
And overall this is plenty of members who love this site and who sincerely appreciate your efforts.
