A lot. I've got well over a thousand, but I'm not sure of the exact number since I haven't counted in a while. I'd guess I've got somewhere between 1100 and 1200. I've also got probably another hundred in manga and graphic novels. I've been collecting books for a while, and it's where most of my extra money goes.

before I moved out or in general? My father is a book collector, so probably easily over 8K, with a good chunk of them being antique. Myself, i'm creepishly picky when it comes to printed media, so i dont have that much, maybe couple of hundred at best. I mean... I won't buy the book if it's not the year i wanted/translation I wanted/wrong paper etc. But, if you count digital books - yeah, I have couple of thousands of these. ^^

Between me and my partner we have about 100+ books all of which we have read. However I have read no doubt over 300 books in my life time so far... I do nothing but read, and a lot of books I read as a child were only short one... XD I still read a lot now. I give everything a try, there is just something about books that I like a lot better than a movie... I guess it is because I can pick an chose what I want things to be and looks like kind of.

In total, I have about 4,000 books =] (filling 10 large bookshelves, as well as scattered around my apartment XD)
Obviously I LOVE to read! lol
Most of them are romance novels and manga's =]
