Well I think it's better to get comments about your art then to get no comments. Pages of "that's nice" can get repetitive though. I can relate to the not feeling like talking much or hardly being able to get into a conversation here. I usually reply when I think it's worth replying.

I use "that's good to hear" and it is pretty natural for me to use, it sounds better then "that's good to read." O.o

To me, seeing the repetitive "good lucks" in the Selling/Buying/Quest forums is kind of... useless. Especially when people just post it in every single topic they come by. c:
Also the "nice art!" that you see in the gallery;; I don't comment often, but I try to say more than that. (which... isn't that much more, to be honest 8D)

Oh, I want to change too.
But I'm too lazy. c: Maybe I'll whip something up with the items I already have. (usually, all my avatars are made with items I already own, or I buy one item extra or something <: )

Oh, I never did that on Gaia.
I think I only hung out in the minishops section. There wasn't anything else for me to do, and I liked collecting the cute foods. *___*

I don't check the art section often, either.
But sometimes I go to the gallery and just rate art. And occasionally comment. (do you get more food for the longer comment? I remember getting 3 once...)

I don't vote often because I get easily distracted;;
I'll usually wander to another site or something before it really adds up. xD But I was determined to look through someone's gallery since she linked me to it, and it ended up having a LOT of illustrations. I was wondering the whole time when it would end. @__@
So I got a good chunk of food from that.

I should comment more often. But I really don't have much to say. Usually, all I can think of is "you should work on the proportions, though 8D" but I never actually comment. Especially when everyone else is saying stuff like "Wowww, so awesomee!"
(I'm not very good at art advice, since I'm not a really great artist. Though I do critique more in real life... just not well. I shouldn't really critique;; c: )

At the beginning, I wanted all grey-black, with just the red heart, but I couldn't do anything about my eyes. So I just went with this. xD;;

I agree about having more substance in post. I am sometimes lazy so I won't say much.

I don't mind the "good lucks" all that much, though I don't see it as me needing luck to get FP.

It seems people are more interested in getting quick FP's in the Art section then in actually commenting. I vote more then I comment as well.

I'll be changing my avatar as well. I don't have a color theme in mind.

I feel like changing to a pink/orange/yellow avie to look like a sunset :3
