Well, lets see if CS3 is similar.
In mine I can go to:
Image-Canvas Size-And adjust the canvas from there.
Is there an image tab in yours? Have you tried googling it to see how it can be done in that version?

Well, increasing the canvas size will make it bigger. o-o; And if you make it too big you can always crop the extra off.

I remember, once, when I was working on a word document and I had the power strip by my feet... I was getting antsy because I was ALMOST done and then my computer shut off...because I'd turned the switch on the power strip off with my toe. T_T It was supposed to be like...a couple pages long..and I'd almost been done too.
So I know how you felt. ;o;
