If I'd known how much time it would've taken for this kid, I never would've procrastinated as much as I did. XD; The oekaki program died several times while I was making him, but it's alright; I saved almost every important detail I made, and the only thing I ever had to start over on was the layers (which was a pain, but hey.) I really enjoyed drawing my little naga (male lamia... whatever); experimenting on his scales was so much fun! I wanted to do so much more for him (close ups and extra drawings on the details of his "outfit"), but I'm just going to turn in what I have to be safe. I'll work on the second version of him that I'd planned and the details on him tomorrow.
His name is Pavan (pah-vaahn), by the way, which means "breeze" in Indian, but if it doesn't agree with you, posted some other name suggestions below.* :3 He was inspired by a combination of the Indian culture and the Romani people (aka Gypsies), hence the red linen cloth with gold disks...things (words begin to escape me at 2am). The things around his eyes and that speckle his shoulders and waist are scales. That said, Pavan would like to have a turn to speak with all of you.
Pavan: *bows* Hello, everyone; my name is Pavan, and I'm hoping to establish a sort of curio shop in this lovely kingdom. ^_^ My dear customers have often told me that I have an eye for rare things, because rare things is what I usually collect and sell. I've come hoping to find some fairy coins that are said to be available in the kingdom, though I've had very little luck in finding any so far.
However, I'm hoping my luck will change if I stay a while longer. I've also prepared a few rare samples to share with you today, though there's no guarantee that these items will still be available should I set up shop. First off is a bottle of rare liquor... the elderly man who sold this to me claims that it has medicinal properties (though more than anything, he looked like a drunk. >__>; ). Beside it is a jar of containing... hmm, a restless spirit of some sort? I thought it looked rather interesting. ^_^ We also have a trident dagger with curved blades... it works via use of springs... wouldn't recommend it to someone unfamiliar with blades... Ah! And of course we have spell books... well, 'book' now, I suppose, since I just sold off the other. Oh, and this instrument beside it is my favorite; it's an Indian flute called a 'pungi' or a 'been'. I'm sure you've all seen it before; it's often used for snake charming. Then, we also have a fox plush, pretty self explanatory... and in my hands, magic beans! I'm not too sure what's so magical about them, but you never know. ^__^;
Hopefully my wares have enticed you into considering on allowing me to stay in the Kingdom, hm? I surely hope so! Stay tuned... hopefully... aha. ^__^*Other name suggestions/meanings: Masala (spice), Deshan (nation), Ashwyn (seventh hindu month), Dhiren (strong one).
