COPPA???

Hello people,

I just finished reading some long and weird legal text concerning COPPA... :qd: If I understood it correctly, the "Children's Online Privacy Protection Act" (I hadn't even figured what the abbreviation means) is supposed to enforce commercial online service providers that collect personal information from children to state what they do with the data (like marketing purposes etc. :qstr: ).

Well, besides being outside the US and therefore not having anything to do with US law anyway, we are not a commercial site, and we are not and will never be using your personal information for anything. Period. The personal information you enter for registration stays in the database, of course, and will stay there, and neither be made public in any way (unless you do it yourself) nor put to any use at all.

Consequently, I turned off the COPPA features completely. Unfortunately, this deleted some not yet activated accounts from the database. So, if you have registered with the COPPA option and haven't had your account activated until now, please register again - sorry for that, I could have turned it off in the first place... :qoops:

No, I think this is for children who are younger than 13.
