((The Basic Concept))
44 years ago, the world broke. A crack appeared in the ground, and a hole was ripped open, spilling out monsters. But the world was not doomed- As ‘Terra’ events began to happen all over the world, people began to change. They developed powers, split into two main groups- Aquians and Infernals. Infernals developed powers to be able to face off against the monsters. Those talents ranged from elemental control to body manipulation, and so a two Sub Ranks to organize the Infernals were established, a general Class to best describe the powers, as well as a Scale to describe the strength of such powers, an F ranking to an S ranking. What made the Infernals’ talents so unique is often, they drew power from the world around them, focusing it into a fine point, and unleashing powers often written in fantasy novels.
The Aquians were the complete opposite. If the Infernals were flames, they were water. Their powers often negated the Infernals, which may sound bad, but it was realized early on, an Infernal could go ‘Nuclear’, in which they lost control of their powers and, well, exploded. Aquians soothed the fires within. Though they did not get sub classes or rankings, they were individually tested against Infernals to see their ‘compatibility’ levels. Unlike Infernals who often drew powers from the environment around them, Aquians had a ‘well’ of power, and the compatibility was the level of power reduction against the tested Infernals. This process was often called a “Cooling” period. After using their powers, an Aquian would rest and replenish their strength.
