Hi there!

I want to try making some neat avatars again and would love some ideas! I noticed there are MORE colors here than when I was here last. I would love some suggestions for colors or colour schemes to start making some!

Also would love to know any item you dislike or like but can't make anything from and maybe I'll try to make something from it

This is actually all part of an experiment I started years ago! And I wish to continue now!

I already got some lemon and ginger items! Excited to see if I can make something from it!

Lemon and blush are definitely some of my favorite of the new colors that have showed up in recent years. There's still not a lot of items using the newer colors though so they can be a bit rough to collect a lot of but there are certainly enough.

I dunno, as far as color schemes go, I'll use pretty much anything. But, I will admit to having a lot of blue iris so chances are high it will end up in a color scheme of mine!

Oh yes I am in love with lemon too!! I think I will be trying to make something from that for sure. I have to earn some food first though to get some commons in those colors!

Maybe I'll try blue iris and lemon and blush!

I don't really know.
I usually grab a color and then try to make sure I add another color that is not one of the color combos in the items. Just to be a little adventurous.
For example, I wanted to make an avatar with the new broom, which is Gold... so I decided to go for Plum.

Sometimes it does not work and I have to start all over again, but when it does I'm usually so satisfied with myself

Oh that is a nice method! Maybe I should try just randoming an item and trying to make an outfit from that?

Well, for some reason I grew bored of matchy-matchy avatars. While I like colors to match, I think some contrast gives it life.

Take for example your own current avatar.
The whole clothing, hair, etc. matches nicely in clear soft colors. Then you add a black background (which is quite the opposite) and it pops.
It's still not mismatched in any way but that contrast makes it look deeper.

I think it's something we often do naturally, cause it looks nice.
I try to do it on purpose, every avatar has a bit of an experiment.

Oh yea I never really thought about it but I am the same way! I like contrasts so I can see the details more if that makes sense. I feel like with super matchy matchy ones I can't really make out what's what. But also some of them are pretty cool- like an optical illusion!!

I think maybe I'll try to make a matchy matchy one next since I have not ever made one like that.

I agree that green and black is really nice. I didn't think there were too many items that use those two together though so I wonder how easy that would be to use. Maybe I'm wrong? Makes me want to try though.
