I read so much more now that I'm in college. I used to read so much more when I was small. It was escape. It's hard to make myself read now that I have to for a grade. Q_Q

Lately I've been reading for nostalgia reasons as well as the usual mood-control (you know, read a happy book when you're sad, read an empowering book before starting a big project, read a prosy book when you need to fall asleep earlier than your usual schedule, etc).
It's been an eye-opener to revisit some of my old favorites. I didn't realize how much my perspective had shifted until being confronted with old familiar scenes brought such different emotions out.
Some of it's obvious; used to identify with teen characters and look up to them, now they seem naive and young. Some of it's not obvious; used to sympathise with one side of a dispute and now I find that speaker arrogant and blind to wider implications, and sympathise with the other side of the dispute instead.
It happened so gradually while I was living it, that rereading old favorites like this is a shock to see how much I've changed.
Anyone else had this experience? Or just me?
