When I read you're selling knuffels cheaper then knuffeltropolis... is there a new way to transfer without having to send it back to knuffeltropolis?

Yes, there is!
Well, I don't know how long it's been here, it was already avaliable when I returned from my hiatus - and that's almost two years ago!

If you go to Knufftroplis, right below Tifunee's NPC picture you can see a link that says "Older generation knuffel".
Click there, and you'll find ALL the previous knuffel for sale. For FCs though.

Ohhh yeahh I forgot all about that! But because it goes through knufftropolis it used to be kinda scary back in the days where the website was really busy, and someone could catch you in the trasition

Yeah, and they were being sold anyway, so I suppose it make sense to have a more reliable way to buy them.

They are definetely expensive indeed. I don't think many people can afford them actually.
That's why I offer mine at half the price, and for FPs instead of FCs, because they are easier to gather for most users.
