Kingdom of Knuffel

"Thank you. It is... really peaceful here. It's probably my favorite place, like... ever."

With a grin, Cal brought his things over to the little camping area. He started to unpack and set up a tent.

Tony looks around a bit more before going to join Cal, to unpack and help Cal. "Random, but do you know anything about edible plants?" He has a book of sketches of edible plants. Very important to know those things. And he's curious.

Cal hummed thoughtfully.
"Not really, no. Well, I know what berries are ok to eat, but other than that no."

"Well....if you do wanna learn....ah I got into the habit of trying to find and identify stuff like that. Especially edible mushrooms." Tony says. "I mean, I'm not just eating them before knowing."

Cal grinned.
"Ha, that's smart! I just avoid eating stuff altogether. It would be nice to know the difference though, if you're ok with teaching me?"

"It's good to know in case something happens." Tony says. "Or if you're getting tired of surviving off of trail mix." He says, laughing a bit. "I'll teach you, though it's easiest to show you the real thing versus my drawings...so you know for sure."

"Sounds good to me. There's plenty of plants around here, I'm sure some of them could be useful."

Tony starts looking through his bag before pulling out a journal. "My parents started teaching me when I was younger....both poisonous and safe to eat ones....probably to teach me signs in case I didn't know?" He's rambling a bit.

"Probably a good idea, really. Kinda wish my parents had taught me."
He shifted closer to look at the journal.
"Did you draw these?"

"Well...you've got me to teach you...and you seem to have turned out pretty good without this." Cal seems a good person to him at least.

"Ah, I drew most of these, some my parents did, with me redrawing them later...."
