Hi and welcome! I've only recently returned here. I don't know if there's a kind of intro for newbies lol.
Apart from the forums which I encourage you to explore on your own (users are overwhelmingly friendly so just jump into any conversation you want to join), here may be other helpful hints.
If you're wondering how to make
to buy shop items, not only can you make it by posting and joining in with polls, but also by playing the games and submitting your high score for up to 1k per game per day, I believe.
Also: knuffels. You can get yourself a trial knuffel to try out the knuffel function for a limited time. If you want to keep it, you will have to permanently adopt your trial knuffel at the end of your trial period. This trial period is only available to you once, but you can permanently adopt all trial knuffels another time.
You can dig with your knuffel for food or quest materials (yes quests are also a thing, you get avatar items), or you can decorate their rooms and take part in room contests to win a small prize.
You can also take part in avatar contests to win small prizes and of course join in on the current summer event.
If you're artistically inclined, you can open an art shop or make a wild knuffel and sell it. It has to be approved first iirc. You will find more information on that in the knuffel forum.
is a special currency. You will need to buy it from a user with or donate via the button. can be exchanged for limited item sets.

hope you will find time to participate in the current event.^^
for a nice start i recommend the charity forum or our contest its runs each month in three different catwgories.
I think the most things are told,bit if you need some help or advice you can ask ke anytime!
oh and btw the top posters get a quuen item for free.
