Unexpected Visitor

We've been helping feed these strays (you call them community cats, I guess) and we got some more food yesterday and put some out for them.
We went back later and I was checking my dog for fleas because we had given him medicine to kill them and my mom said she wanted to see if her cat was outside.
She went out and came back in and said "There's a racoon out here o__O"
I got up and walked out there and there was a big raccoon on our porch eating the cat food.
I stood there and stared at it and it stared at me while it was stealing the food xD
I did scare it off by accident, so I put more food down and it came back.
It then got scared again and ran up our tree, so that's where I saw it last.

It tickled me because I called my mom out and she was scared and looking everywhere for it.
She and my aunt are afraid of raccoons. And mice. And rats.
I'm not scared of anything fuzzy and cute.
I do know they can attack and carry rabies, but usually they just run away from me, so they don't scare me xD

Have you had an unexpected visitor recently?

Our neighbor's dog always used to stay in her yard, but she's leaving their yard lately. I'm not sure if they know it or not. Yesterday she was right up to my door.

There's this cat that hangs around our apartment community and my brother and I caught sight of it the other day! Ran away before we could try to offer any treats though. Ah well, maybe next time. :mcheh:

I never get visitors, but I do meet the same cat quite often on my way home and it's super sweet and friendly.
