From The Book of Questions by Gregory Stock.

Question #31: If you knew there would be a nuclear war in one week, what would you do?

That's actually hard to answer.
There's a lot of factors to consider.

Like would it destroy the whole planet or just part of it?
Is it possible to survive a nuclear war if you're in a shelter?
Will you die quickly or die slowly from radiation or whatever?
Is there actually a point to living at that point?

That's what I was thinking. I feel like I'd probably need to do some research to answer this question! But I guess I would try to prevent it or try to find a bunker or something.

Hm. What's the funniest thing I can think of to carve into stone and amuse an alien xeno-archaelogist some millennia from now? That would not take more than a week to carve?

I would hike as much of the Appalachian Trail with my boyfriend as we can, and hope the war wont reach us out in the middle of nowhere.
Id use what survival skills I have to help us survive as long as possible.

Its a dream of mine to hike the Appalachian Trail, and my boyfriend said he might hike it with me, so we can at least see how far we make it before we die to radiation poisoning.

If we continued to survive past that week, then wed find some new place to settle.

I would probably go on a vacation with my husband. Blow a ton of money. No point in saving it if the world gonna end anyway.
