I just heard about Bio-punk today.
Has anyone else heard of it?
I know theres some Bio-punk in the new Voltron series.

Here is wikipedias summary about it:
Biopunk (a portmanteau of "biotechnology" or "biology" and "punk") is a subgenre of science fiction that focuses on biotechnology. It is derived from cyberpunk, but focuses on the implications of biotechnology rather than information technology. Biopunk is concerned with synthetic biology.

Who would you be in a Bio-punk world?
What would you do?

Ohhh, I'd never heard of that before! I'll have to think about this one for a bit.

What about yourself, though? Who would you be?

Never heard of bio-punk before, but it sounds even cooler than cyber punk! That makes me think of cyborgs and nanites in the blood. Or like, weird synthetic hair that stays orange forever. I'm down for some nanite based super healing and maybe glowing in the dark. I'd like to glow in the dark.

Id live in a giant mushroom that has been grown with scientific techniques.

Id make mushroom bombs with poisonous, blinding spores.

I've never heard that term before BUT I did read a book series that really reminds me of it.

It's really good, y'all should check it out.

Oh wow, I remember the Uglies series. Everyone was reading it back in high school, though I never did. My roommate quite enjoyed it though.

Huh, I'll have to see if our library has it.

I'm now imagining a world where people who go bald, instead of hair transplants or whatever, they start growing bio-luminescent ferns out of the top of their heads.
I don't know where these images come from.

I really liked it. I've read some of his other books too. Good writer.

I bet they'll have it. The books have been around for quite some time.

That sounds really cool! Bioluminescent ferns will be all the rage!
