From The Book of Questions by Gregory Stock.

Question #15: Whom do you admire most? In what way does that person inspire you?

That's hard to answer because I admire many people for many different reasons.
There is no one person that inspires me.

A world of fragile things
Look for me in the white forest
Hiding in a hollow tree (come find me)
I know you hear me,
I can taste it in your tears."

My boyfriend. He is really fun and adventurous and smart. ^_^ He knows all kinds of trivia stuff and gives really amazing advice.
He also is rather outgoing for an introvert and has the ability to make friends really easily.
He is the nicest boyfriend Ive ever had and makes me feel loved and valued.
We have only known each other since last month and weve already been on some of the greatest adventures Ive been on.

I cant describe how awesome he is in one post.

I have admiration for qualities, not people.

It's not over yet.
There's a lot to look forward to.
Keep going.
You can do this :)

Um... I think I don't admire anyone. Anyone at all. And I think I never had :mcsweat:

Because of that I've always hated "describe someone you admire" exercises at school, since you have to describe someone. It was long time ago, so I don't remember anymore who I actually did describe at times like these. But I think it might be my dad, since he's able to do many things by himself. He's also got a lot of bad qualities, though... It's not an admiration.

I want to practise my English. If you see any mistakes, please send me a pm.

Why do some people use such a small font size? It hurts my eyes... :mcdead:

I used to just make someone up for those. Otherwise I spent too much time thinking about it or qualifying the answer, and you know that's not what they're looking for, so.... I'd just go, "you're grading my writing not my honesty or my ethics, so I'm going to lie so I can focus on the writing which is the relevant part anyhow".

Still not entirely sure how I feel about that.

But, yeah, I have problems with the blanket "admire so-and-so" stuff. I admire things people have done. I admire qualities about them. I admire specifics... but people are never all one thing or another, and people are never "perfect". So this weird blanket "I admire so-and-so" doesn't work for me, because then it might be implying that I admire EVERYTHING about them or EVERYTHING they've done, and that's not true of anyone (yes, of course including myself in that. It's why we are PEOPLE and not theoretical perfect characters in a fairy tale).

I can tell you specifics about what I admire in particular, but a general, all-encompassing admiration for an actual person?
Nope.
All my "heroes" have feet of clay, and I know it.

Probably my husband. Not saying that he doesn't have some bad qualities, but he's pretty cool over all. He's a super hard worker, he's very kind and funny, he tries really hard even if the odds are against him.
