From The Book of Questions by Gregory Stock.

Question #1:

"For a person you loved deeply, would you be willing to move to a distant country knowing there would be little chance of seeing your friends or family again?"

...

I'm actually right now facing the decision of whether or not to move, taking the last of my Elders with me but leaving behind the family in town who don't actually live with me.
On the one hand, it makes immense sense to move in the financial sphere, plus the place we would go would have more opportunities in a number of arenas, and I would, if I move, be able to actually and actively pursue having children. Which is something I've known I wanted for a long time now, and it's almost too late for me, but I've also known it wasn't possible where we are now. On the other hand, moving would be really hard on the Elders, and me, and uprooting is difficult, and you can't predict things 100% ever and if the job offer up there fell through or the property we are looking at had something wrong with it that we don't know about, it could be really problematic. And it would mean leaving behind four family members who aren't up for a move.... I could still see them every once in a while but it would be at such a drastically reduced rate....

Your question is really hitting home for me, even if my current situation doesn't match it exactly.

And I really don't know what we're going to do, in the end. After the last few days of intense discussions, everyone has said they'll abide by my wishes, but it's such a hard decision to make and I don't actually know yet what I want to do. I have a lot of fear that's making it hard to think clearly. (in both cases).

What is your answer, Sanssouci?

I don't know. I've never really been interested in traveling/moving. I've never been on a plane and never want to be. And there is a lot of stuff that I would want to take, so moving would probably be very expensive. But I also don't have a whole lot keeping me here. Just my mother and father.

I think it's nearly impossible for me to fall so in love with someone that I'd leave everything behind.
I don't get out much and I don't have any friends, so my family is all I have.
I don't like going to the local store I've shopped at since I was a kid, I doubt I'd like leaving my country xD

A world of fragile things
Look for me in the white forest
Hiding in a hollow tree (come find me)
I know you hear me,
I can taste it in your tears."

The only person I love deeply is Jay, and my mom. She would go anywhere in the world with us if we moved.

I would move, but not for someone else. Too much risk.

No waaaaaaay

I'd love to move somewhere someday but I love my family to much to never be able to even see them again.

I honestly do not see myself falling in love at all.
But if it ever did happen I probably would. Except for my sister tbh.
Knowing me and she's the relationship I'd take her with me haha.
My sister is really my best friend but both of us are actually sick of where we live
currently.

I wouldn't move just for someone else. There have to be other reasons. If there are, I won't have any problem with it. We don't have the best relationship anyway and besides, it's not like we won't see each other ever again, no matter where I'd move. Times like that are long past gone. We can travel more or less freely, so it won't be a problem to see each other once a while during holidays, if we want it. We can also stay in touch literaly everyday via Facebook and Skype.

I live in Eastern Europe, I have some family in the same city I live in and some in USA. With the ones in America we get in touch once a week. With my family close by we talk like once every three months. So the distance no longer matters so much.

I want to practise my English. If you see any mistakes, please send me a pm.

Why do some people use such a small font size? It hurts my eyes... :mcdead:
