From The Book of Questions by Gregory Stock.

Question #8: Would you rather be a member of a world championship sports team or be the champion of an individual sport? Which sport would you choose?

... can we choose neither? I don't want to be involved in anything that would make me deal with that many people or put me in the public eye like that!

I am not even remotely interested in sports, so I don't really have an answer for this one! But if anything has a low injury rate and a high income, then I guess I will pick that!

When I'm in a team, either everyone's holding me back or (more often) I'm holding back everyone else. If I'm in my own team, I'm only responsible for myself and don't feel as bad if I screw up... or if my team is distracted b/c the last time I played team sports was in P.E. class and nobody really wanted to be there.

Although I actually kinda really like doubles sports, like tennis? I guess it's because you get to really trust each other.

In terms of sports, the only thing I do is diving and I'm not sure if you can ever be a champion. And even if there was, it's probably going to involve breaking records and that's way too dangerous for me.

I think I'd choose a team sports though. I'm not perfect in any means so other people could complete me. Like, I like basketball but I can't run, I'm only good at passing and putting the ball in the basket, so being in a team would be nice.
Not that I ever intend on becoming the sporty type though.
