Ok, who here is in the itabagging scene/hobby? :P
I myself am only just starting ~
- I have one bag that is going to need a good refresh/do-over soon, cause I have some merch I can't place and I want to get it all in of course!
- another bag I need to get a good insert for, cause the one I have right now is very diy and I don't want to damage my base bag obv
- as soon as I'm moved into my own place I'm building a shrine for my favourite character c':
So who else likes to show off their love for a character/fandom/...?
I want to see bags, shrines and exchange good tips! :P

Ive wanted one since 2016 but I just can’t imagine myself carrying it around. I do need a safe place for my Rem pins and keychains I’ve collected. Hehe.
I do love cute things. I like the one with the heart window but I think a square window would be more wearable but the only one I could find was one with a bow :s
Show some pictures of your itabags?

It does get heavy if you have a lot of merch in it, as well as loud if you have keychains rattling outside of the window c':
I'd like to get a smaller bag with a small heart window just to put in some pins/keychains etc of one of my fav characters. But for my bae I really need a big bag :P
this is my current bag for my absolute fav but it doesn't show half of the merch in it cause it was my first time actually filling it. It needs a different lay-out to get everything in but I've been putting that off for a while haha
This is one of my other bags and
here's a pic with some filling merch. Its empty right now cause the insert I made was too thick and didn't fill the whole window. Beginner's mistake in not really measuring c':

Basically its a hobby where you show off your 'obsession' with something by making a pretty collage with merch and art and such of the character/series/...
There are specific kinds of bags for it, made with clear 'windows' where you can display your pins/keychains and buttons but also plushies or figures in some cases and basically go 'look, I'm a big fan of ...!'
Some people also build shrines, like a shelf or bookcase filled with stuff to show off in the same way c;

Ohh, interesting! So, if you were into cross-stitch, you would crosstitch a number of samplers and sew them together into a bag? That kind of thing?

Yup! I love the hobby cause its a complete artistic liberty thing c:
its your bag (or shelves), completely your arrangement and style to fit whatever you're into and show it off to others to connect with.
Some people add lights and flowers and such into their bags, others make their own bags completely from scratch, like making a bag literally in the shape of the character and then filling it with merch of said character!

Awww...they look cute 8,u
I usually don't have any money to buy anime merch.
I have some anime pins that I got from Hot topic that I stuck on my wallet.
I'd love to get a bag to put them on and cram all my stuff in it.

Cute :3 I haven't seen the ita-tote.
I mostly get my pins from anime cons or artists I like ovo or from when I was in japan. I do have some official stuff. I put pins on my backpack but I'm susceptible to losing them, getting them scratched or rained on. I rather they not get damage. I keep them safe in my drawers but I want to show em off *u*

I spend way too much on merch in general c':
I also collect Transformers figures and my room could be classified as a Harry Potter museum >w>
You can get your merch from anywhere. Some people are more picky and elitist on the difference between official and fanmade merch but imo s'all the same as long as you obv don't support art thieves and the like. My pins and charms come from all over.
And that's the point of the 'window' in an itabag Poshi ;P
Its safe for the pins and keychains etc and itabags usually have special inserts to fasten or push everything in so you don't have to worry about ruining your bag in itself either!
You could also get a pin board with like cork material, I did that with a collection of my Harry Potter pins (
