I have no idea if his novels are also published in another language, but someone knows one of the wonderful works of this great author.

He's the one who does the horror novels? Or am I mixing up authors?

I think all his novels are horror, like the orphanage, the labyrinth of Faust and a vampire novel.

I've seen them around but never read them, since I don't usually read horror. >.<

I am not familiar with too much of his stuff, but so far he is a little bit of a mixed bag for me. I read The Shape of Water. I liked that. I watched the Pan's Labyrinth movie and hated it. I have The Strain on my to read list.

Did you read it as the Italian La forma dell'acqua? Or as the English The Shape of Water? (Sometimes translators really help and sometimes they really hurt a book, so before I try to read it I want to know which version you liked)

I read it as the English The Shape of Water.

Alright, I have now checked out the English "The Shape of Water" from my library! Might be a bit before I get to it, though. I checked out a couple dozen books and most of them have been on my to-read list for a lot longer.

I think every book I saw listed was a collaborative process, so I'm not sure how much of the writing he did, and how much he was supplying characters/plot/etc?
