You know this site is really old when...

In the profile page you can fill up a field for "Yahoo Messenger" and I don't even know if that's still alive :mclol: I don't even know what's a Jabber either. Maybe we should add Discord or Skype to the list of fields now?

What other stuff does this site have that shows its age? (Besides the post dates in the forums and slow activity haha)

These fields come with the phpBb code, so at least that's not on us. :qt:
And I don't think they show up anywhere if you actually fill them out?

I also don't know what Jabber is, but I already didn't know that 10 years ago. :mcheh:

Yes, we don't have the latest phpbb update though, because it was a huge one that required a lot of re-coding of the site.
I suppose these old fields might be removed with the newest version. We will find out soon, I hope!

ohh i see! yeah that does sound like a lot of work. I would take it that the site would have to be closed for maintenance and everything just to get the recode down and all? at least there are Facebook and Instagram fields as well xD

I am not the one responsible for coding nor do I understand much of it, but as far as I understood, there will onyl be a minimal downtime of 1-2 hours once the change takes place. The re-coding has been going on for months already, just none of it has been put online yet.

Yeah, we added the fileds for Facebook and Instagram ourselves, because they were not included. I thnk we could also kill ICQ by now, or does anyone still use that?

You know a user's been a site a long time when they completely flip personalities and seem like a different person when you read their old posts 8u

I have no idea what an ICQ is u8

Oooh. I was reminded of the good old days of Yahoo! chat rooms xD

I actually have no idea what ICQ is either, so I think it's safe to say to kill it. Everyone has migrated to Facebook, Instagram, and Snapchat nowadays? There are other kinds of messaging lines like KakaoTalk and stuff but I don't think that's really necessary to add here haha.

And ohh I see! That's actually not very long at all :0 I look forward to see what the recoding brings c:

also I remember seeing you around here before, Moi, but back then you had spaces between your name, I think xD

Really? ICQ is (or was?) an instant messanger that was pretty big some years ago. It had over 100 Million users and it feld like pretty much everyone used it. But I guess it got long suprased by other means of communications like WhatsApp or Facebook Messanger. At least I don't know anyone who's still using it.

I don't think I ever used it. I noticed though that certain countries really prefer particular messaging apps over others. Yahoo! Messenger was the way to go where I'm from, but everyone has already migrated to either Facebook, Twitter, and other stuff here.
