I have filled out 5 today. They ask for a lot of information and make you take quizzes for customer service stuff.
How hard is it for the rest of you to find jobs?

Quizzes for customer service? Gross. I don't remember doing those. It was mostly, "what do you want to work for blah".
"Cause I need money 8U"
Best industry atm would be computer science engineering. Finance/accounting makes a decent amount. Doctors are always needed. It depends on the parameters. I picked death. Let my occupation be eternal sleep zzz

Volunteering's gotten tougher, too. I wanted to volunteer at the nearby animal shelter and so I looked up how to on their website and they told me I needed to be registered as a volunteer with the city. So I went down and got myself registered for their volunteer orientation and to get registered as a volunteer you need a criminal record check and two reference LETTERS. Not just reference numbers, but LETTERS. I didn't go forward with it.

Some really bug me, like the ones that make you take a quiz about 'how would you react to this situation?'.
One had a dumb question, like, how would you respond if you didn't know how to handle this customer?
1) Get a manager 2) Ask another coworker
and I pick manager?
But that's wrong somehow.

I hate filling out forms, even though I need to get around to applying to another job, aha.
Finding a suitable job is difficult and bothersome for me. *facehands*

I applied to work with a hotel since it was 4 blocks from my house. Some of the questions were like "Your customer's keycard does not work. He has asked for 3 new ones and is angry and frustrated. What do you do?
A. Go to his room and show him how to use it
B. Tell him to calm down
C. get a manager"
All three of those options seem patronizing?? but okay A I guess??

The quizzes are horrible and on top of that, if you want something outside of retail, you almost need to know someone in the company to get anywhere. I've been volunteering at a hatchery and at a school hoping to get some connections.

Ugh, I hate those things. Before I got my current job I applied somewhere that had one of those quizzes, and apparently you can fail those things lol. They told me I had to wait 6 months before I could apply again.

Hecking quizzes
One place I applied to had a timed quiz
No way in hell anyone could finish it, it was like 15 minutes of a jumble of stuff ranging from history to I think calculus (which I never took) and it was never 101 stuff, it was all like the hardest you can get
What
The
Fuck
Also Petco I applied to, had to stop partway through, and then when I went to log back in they wouldn't let me :|
As I the number emailed to me was invalid
Wtf

I have been filling out a fair few applications recently so the quiz assessments have been bothering me. Mostly you have to choice you either Strongly Agree or Strongly Disagree.
