School Injuries

Ah, school...a wonderful experience everyone should have.
I've seen kids get hurt and have been hurt, myself.

Worst one was when I twisted my ankle.
I couldn't even stand up and my friend had to help me to the office.
We were asked what we were doing there and scolded.
Then my friend said I was hurt and they let me go in.
I had to wait about 30 minutes to call my parents because the principal was on the phone.
I eventually got to go home.
The next day, the principal had no idea I had gotten hurt.

I jammed my finger shooting hoops, I kneed myself in the face, I fell too many times to count, slipped on the gym floor and busted my tailbone, got hit in the face by a dodge ball, slammed my knee against a metal bar in the weight room, had the weights fall on me because my spotters sucked, and don't get me started on emotional injuries.
This one time I was climbing the bleachers in the gym and I fell from the top and landed on my back.
My teacher and some students ran to me and asked if I was okay.
I started laughing hysterically and scared them. It didn't hurt at all xD

I'm accident-prone, so I hurt myself daily in all kinds of ways.
But these were specifically at school.

As for other kids:
Girl was playing soccer and a coach kicked the ball and it hit her in the face and she was bleeding from her nose.
My cousin got mauled by a dog.
Kid almost had his toe cut off by these heavy doors.
My bestie got hit in the eye while playing volleyball.

All I can think of right now.

Did you ever injure yourself at school?

Ooh, dodgeball to the face. Broke my glasses too. Poor kid who did it was mortified, at least D:
Accidentally body slammed a kid cuz we both went to jump and headbutt the soccer ball that was in the air XD
A lot of other headshots that year too. I spent half my time sitting on the bleachers hurting
Tho the glasses one was a few years prior

Mostly dodgeballs and soccer balls to the face and glasses. Though one friend had a nasty fall and had to get stitches on her forehead.

Oh, I was also an accident-prone student... I'm way past my school years, so I don't remember the details anymore, but I think I usually got hurt during PE classes.

Most accidents I had in middle school, I think. It was usually a simple finger dislocation, acquired during either basketball or volleyball play, but since the start of the second year it happened once every 2-3 weeks... Now that I think back, I'm amazed my hands look normal after it all.

Around that time we also went to the nearby park once. It was winter, I remember there was a lot of snow and ice. We went there during a PE class, with our teacher. When we arrived, the teacher said we're supposed to skate on this ice for our class, the way little kids do. I don't know what for. Back then I thought it was a bad idea, now I think the same. When it was my turn, I wasn't able to maintain the balance (as I feared), so I fell down hitting the back of my head in the process. Of course everything went black for a moment, we had to finish the class early and I had a terrible headache for the rest of the day. Lucky there weren't many classes afterwards and in the end it wasn't anything serious. But still, it was really unpleasant.

In high school it wasn't much better. Right after the start there was a school camp deep into the country, really far from any proper city. We were supposed to get to know each other. The school year already started, so there were proper classes, inside or outside, if the weather was ok. Also PE. Though I've never participated in it there... We arrived there at night. It was really dark and we had to hurry, because it was already pretty late. And so, I didn't see well the stairs we were going down and I fell down with all my luggage, twisting my ankle. There wasn't any doctor, only the school nurse and it was actually a big problem to transport me anywhere, since we didn't have any car there. So the school nurse was trying to patch it up somehow the whole camp and, well, she was the only one I got to know well, since I had to visit her frequently back then, instead of participating in most of the classes and trips... Unfortunately, our "friendship" lasted for the next 3 years. I visited her frequently, due to some small injuries during PE and to the health problems I started to have back then.
