We are late again, but it is finally here:

KINGDOM OF KNUFFEL'S SUMMER EVENT 2017

This year we have something new for you: Join our big water fight in order to gain Water Points to spend on Summer Event '17 items both for your avatar and your Knuffels' rooms in the Summer Booth!

So, how does this work?

The basics are simply: Underneath everyone's avatar in the forum you will see a "Throw" button with the user's water thrower rank below. Click on the button to throw a water bomb at the user. If you succeed you will earn Water Points, which you can spend in the Summer Booth.

Here are the details:

You can only throw a water bomb at a user once every 60 seconds. There is a timer on the right side of the page, right between the Summer Booth icon and the Water Bomb Thrower top list that will show you when you are ready to throw another water bomb, so you don't need to keep track of the time yourself.

Whever you throw a water bomb successfully you will gain experience points and, if you have collected enough, gain a rank. There are 10 ranks in total.

The probability to throw a water bomb successfully is different for each rank. If you have a low rank, but want to throw a water bomb at a user with a higher rank, the probability of succeeding is smaller the greater the difference between your ranks. However, the possible reward is also bigger!

Example time! If you are rank 1 and throw a water bomb at a user with the same rank as yours, the chance of success is 50/50. If you succeed, you will earn 10 water points.
If you are level 1 and try to throw a water bomb at a user of rank 10, your chance to succeed is only 5%- However, the possible reward is 200 water points.

On the other hand, if you throw a water bomb at a user with a lower rank than yourself, the reward gets smaller, but the chance of succeeding is much bigger.

You can access the Summer Booth from the image on the right side of the page. There you can switch between purchasing avatar items and room items by clicking on the button located right beneath Gudrun.



For all of those who can't or don't wish to join the water fight, we have also a functional room item that can be purchased during the event:
The Summer '17 bear can be purchased in the Living Empire for 1 and will give you 150 each day. After the event it will be a decorative room item without any additional function.



The event starts today, August 15th and probably runs till September 12th.

IMPORTANT!
This is our first time running an event like this. Therefore we have calculated the water point gain we expect on probabilities and have determined the prices for the event items according to these probabilities. However, whether these numbers are even close to accurate depends on many factors we cannot predict. Therefore it is possible that this event might be "too easy" or "too difficult" (Of course, depending on how much time and effort users are willing to invest, some will always consider a certain event too difficult or too easy). We expect that on an average it should be possible to earn all event items including some doubles with throwing 30 water bombs each day. Should we see that we miscalculated and the event is entirely too difficult, we might extend the event's time! Also, please note that this event might seem more difficult at the beginning, when everyone starts out at rank 1 and no big rewards are possible, but will become easier as it proceeds.
