One Man's Trash Is Another Man's....

Treasure.
I'm not really a hoarder, but I do have hoarding tendencies.
We've thrown trash out and had some stranger pick it up and take it.
It's fine because it was stuff we threw out.
I just think it's neat that people can put trash to good use sometimes.

My aunt threw our old pool out because it had a small hole in it and it was leaking.
Well, we put it on the curb for the trash people to pick up.

Aunt: What's that little boy from nextdoor doing by the trash cans >>
Me: -doesn't see anyone- I don't know u8
Aunt: Well, bye 8u -gets in truck-
Me: -goes back inside- -still sees no one-
Aunt: -calls- Keep an eye out. I think they want the pool but don't want us to see them >>
Me: u8....-opens blinds- -still sees no one- Okay.
Aunt: All right. Bye >>
Me: u8.....-STILL SEES NO ONE- Bye.
Sister: 8u ~
Me: I think she's working too hard and hallucinating Mexicans stealing pools u8
(disclaimer: I am also Mexican and it's a joke)

I tend to hold onto everything because I never want to get rid of something and need it later and I won't have it.
I also have sentimental feelings for most things I own.

How do you feel about trash and treasure?
Have you found something in the trash that you wanted?

I pop all my bubble wrap first!

I've never been into dumpster diving but my neighbors seem to really like my trash! They've collected a desk, recliner and a busted vacuum so far. :'D I feel like I'm really helping to furnish their home.

My daughter loves bubble wrap. XD

I keep things that I'm certain I'm going to use or want. If I haven't messed with it and it's not part of my collection, I tend to get rid of it. Other than collection items if I haven't used it or paid attention to it, it obviously not worth keeping.

I've gone dumpster diving a few times. I got a lot of fruit from a grocery store dumpster. And I got a wooden bench, a chair that looks like Dumbledore's chair, a wicker table, a privacy screen, a wicker trunk, and a lot more at the curb.

Oh yeah and these leather wristbands from my summer job
For whatever reason there's no test strips to work on, so when it breaks we have to use an actual wristband, which drives the warehouse mad
Mom saw all four in my room and started to yell at me for it
"Mom I dug them out of the damages box" I'd been planning on taking them home anyway, it wasn't until they'd been put in there did I get to it
Now that was okay cuz that was garbage picking
Lol

I am somewhat of a semi hoarder.. I do a clean out about once a year so I don't get over loaded with stuff.
