In aesthetics, the uncanny valley is the hypothesis that human replicas which appear almost, but not exactly, like real human beings elicit feelings of eeriness and revulsion (or uncanniness) among some observers.

I'm kind of confused by the eeriness and revulsion.
When I see things like that, I think they're awesome.

How do you feel?

When I see things like this, I think they're really cool.
I think technology has come so far and can only get better, and it's truly amazing.

There's a video of an android that sings, and 98% of people I've seen, said she's creepy.
But I loved the video and thought it was so cool.

"I'll miss the winter
A world of fragile things
Look for me in the white forest
Hiding in a hollow tree (come find me)
I know you hear me,
I can taste it in your tears."

I think it's awesome but it does make my skin crawl. It's more of the fact that these life like androids are as described, "life like" but not to completion. They look human, but something seems off, maybe there's a more plastic sheen to their skin or glassiness to their eyes a regular human would not have, lack of wrinkles and pores etc. Also because there's a limit to the number of degrees of freedom (DOF) you can place on an android without having it be immense work, it moves but not in a completely human way. There may be a jerkiness to it's motion or a path of motion that a regular human would be able to circumvent if it had more DOF.

Tbh, singing anything is creepy. Singing children. Creepy. Singing plastic doll. Get me out.

I just saw some post about sex dolls on Reddit and it left me feeling pretty greasy.
Everyone basically wants a sex doll wife. Everything devolved into "can we also program them to cook and clean?" Makes me sad.

I'm definitely one of those folks put off by things of that nature and would avoid. Yeeeeah, just not a thing for me.
