...and probably some good memories. So do you have some fond memories of something that gives you such warm and nostalgic feelings, but then one day you realize none of it lives up to the memories and feelings?

So I've been watching this old TV series "Murder, she wrote" (the name really bothers me by the way, but that's another story). I used to love it so much as a kid, which I suppose is the key word here: As a kid. Wasn't there even a cartoon or something, since I remember watching something like that also..? Anyway, while it's still way better than most of the crap (sorry) they put out these days, it's actually really not that good... It's cute enough I suppose, but not the best thing I've seen. It made me kind of sad because I really want to love it still, so I keep watching it, but... No...

I grew up watching the dubbed Sailor Moon.
It was really awesome, but listening to it recently - the voice acting was cringy a lot.
I do still like the voice actresses, but the acting was bleh.

It's kind of random, but there was this little house by my school.
I remember it being like a little cottage, and it was my idea of autumn.
A nice, cute house, some smoke from the chimney, colorful leaves, etc.
It doesn't look a thing like it used to.
It was really disappointing.
Might not even be the same house.
Might not have even existed.

I LOVED Indiana Jones as a kid.
Now that I'm older and know a bit about archaeology and stuff like that it just annoys the heck out of me.

I used to watch a lot of cartoons on Cartoon Network like Cow and Chicken, I'am Weasel and Rugrats on Nickelodeon which I don't find as amusing and interesting as I did before.

even those little things we as a child used to enjoy seemed not so fun anymore with our child wanderlust hyper imagination gone.

I know what you mean.
There are some anime I watched as a kid. I really loved them back then. I remember how amazing I thought they are. Lately I started to rewatch them again. None of them is as great as I thought it was. They are still nice, but sometimes it's really painful to watch them...

But well, I guess it's natural. When you're a kid, you nearly have no experience at all, so it's easy to impress you.

I want to practise my English. If you see any mistakes, please send me a pm.

Why do some people use such a small font size? It hurts my eyes... :mcdead:

I used to watch Murder, She Wrote all the time with my mum!
That and X-Files! Such a nostalgia bomb!
The mysteries were always very easy to figure out, similar in style to Nancy Drew, but it was still fun none the less.
Mum liked it a lot. And I hardly ever got her to watch tv with me, so it was a nice compromise.
