There have been a lot of weird trends concerning food online. what started out from cube shaped watermelons of Japan to Rainbow cake to Gslaxy themed foods. now it has come to edible rainbow corns (not to mention the instagram worthy mermaid bread and other instagrammable strange food).
Have you ever heard of or seen a rainbow corn?
Are there other weird edible foods you know or have come to know lately? what is it?

I quite like the hipster-y trend of mixing savoury foods with sweets P:
There's a pub near where I live that does a "Wafkin" burger that's a southern fried chicken fillet between two waffles and a drizzling of maple syrup - it's pretty glorious P:

curiosity got the best of me that I just have to google it. judging from what I have seen on the internet, it looks so flavourful and the waffle-buns looks perfect mostly paired with fries on the side.

The cube shaped watermelons are nothing new
I think it's to make them easier to stack

I'm aware that those cube shaped melons in Japan have been there for a while now. the first the time I saw it was from way back in 2009 or so, can't clearly recall the exact year. those years like in the 2009's they're kind of a weird or new concept back then, but as time progress, more weirder stuff just keep poppin up online like these :
Spoiler
*pertaining to legit ones and not photoshopped
1.
glass gem corn or rainbow corn
2.
mermaid toast

I've not seen rainbow corn yet. Is it actually rainbow? Because that sounds pretty cool.
I actually like seeing those cute little trends. I think they're neat. Why not make your food adorable?
