Performance issues

Hi all,
our site has been experiencing recurring cases of HTTP 503 errors since the evening of March 31st (server time).
I wasn't able to reproduce the error myself, but I've been checking on different latency testing services, and there seem to be phases with rather high latency (which means for users requesting at the same time, there is a possibility they'd see said error message).
The error message is coming from the reverse proxy service we use, usually to improve loading times from locations outside of Europe. Our server itself is running fine, and hasn't been under specific attack or load, apparantly - so I'm guessing said reverse proxy network is either under attack or performing low due to heavy traffic, though they haven't reported having any problems.
Sorry for the inconveninence, but there's nothing I can do right now about it, please notify me if the problem persists, preferably with your location and information about the frequency of occurance of these errors.
Have fun (hopefully)!
