HAHA I've been to jail once. I got into a fight with someone. There's a man in a local group that posts recent arrests in our city, and I did make that list LOL.

This time I spoke on how local art markets are important to local artists and local citizens. :)

Former jail turned to hotel for me, and that was enough. :}

And we need more art markets. My country has so few and literally zero within reasonable travel distance from where I live. :}

I've decided within myself that jail one time is fine for me, I don't need to go again lol.
I find art markets super fun. I hope they keep having them where I live.

Completely understand.

Art markets or Fairs in my country are either very hobby related, or aligned with professional companies that cooperate with musea or universities. There's to my knowledge no real middle ground.

There are fairs where you can display your work but you are not allowed to actually sell things there. Just hand out cards and hope people actually look you up. :}

I've always worked with my own art. I've never had to have a middle man to sell my art at a market before. interesting!

There is something similar here, but they are clearly labeled hobby markets, and people expect hobby prices, not 'semi' professional ones. :}

There are always people who call my paintings, drawings, or mixed media collages hobbies even when they're literally in the back yard of an art museum. I'm a professional illustrator and it really grinds my nerves lol.

They probably also see art as a waste of time, without realizing how much art goes into just about everything. Diss art, diss the entire entertainment world at minimum
