I was a bit skeptical at first when I read the concept. However, as I watched it, it just drew me in. The series paces itself well, not too rushed or fillers. What is most interesting is the questions that are brought up in the series about humanity. That despite the Parasytes being deemed "monsters" they have the same right to live just as humans do.

The soundtrack is very "dubstep" in layman's terms, but not very over the top like Skrillex. I for one enjoy this as it is different from your usual anime music and they make use of it really well in certain parts.

Overall, for the manga being from the 90s, it is solid. Unless you're squeamish :mcheh:

What do you guys think about it?

At first when I saw a preview of this anime I didn't think i'll like it much. I enjoy the soundtrack, it's pretty good. Actually I had the opening song stuck in my head the other day. :qwhee: The anime is interesting and I like how the main character changes..in more ways than one. The only thing I don't like is the main characters love interest, who I find gets annoying.

I LOVED the manga. I've read it numerous times.
When I saw it had an anime, I got extremely excited.
I watched about 5 episodes earlier and I really like it.

A world of fragile things
Look for me in the white forest
Hiding in a hollow tree (come find me)
I know you hear me,
I can taste it in your tears."

To be honest? The manga is my absolute favorite. I love the bad guys, they're so cool! The anime I don't like as much because of changed designs and removed scenes regarding the Parasites, but for an adaptation it's pretty faithful. (And the online manga is so badly translated anyway, the anime's a definite improvement there.) I downloaded several of the songs myself so I agree the music's nice.

they sure made Kana weird though

It's one of the few manga that managed to have a half decent ending for a while. I really didn't want it to end though. It was such a good series despite all the nightmares.
