I am not very good. I am self-taught. Mostly. I read a bunch of how-to books, but practice is the most important part, imo.

i started teaching myself from the time i was old enough to pick up a crayon. and i got better over the years by just literally never stopping drawing. it feels weird now if i don't have a sketchbook open or a canvas up in SAI

I learned by tracing. My friend drew me a picture and I traced over it until I had a good handle on how to recreate the drawing. I began branching out and using what I'd learned to make new drawings. As the years passed I began learning to draw from models. Now I use a program called Design Doll to make 3D models and I draw from them. My art isn't anything flashy or lifelike but I'm proud of it.

I am self-taught, and I find the best way to improve is to draw LOADS of drawings of the things you love, or in a medium you enjoy! I have looked at a few books, and tutorials and various other places, but I find that it doesn't do anything for me.

Im no expert, but I have had several artist friends who helped me along my journey to becoming a better artist.
I love concept artists.. we seem to get along well.
Anyway.. Studying Kinesiology also helped me draw better.
