As a kid, I watched a cartoon version of a novel epic called Journey to the West, so that was my favorite story as a kid. Mine is somewhat unusual, but what about you guys?

I'd have to say The Hobbit. The book is amazing and I can't tell you how many times I've seen the animated movie. At least several hundred. ^_^

When I was little my favorite story was Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
My dad would tell it to me every night.

I like the stories by Beatrix Potter the best. And some Aesop Fables. Oh, and the original versions of Fairy Tales (my Grandma had a book of them, the Goose Girl, Snow White and Rose Red, etc).

If you are unaware of who Beatrix Potter is, she wrote stories about a rabbit called Peter Rabbit. Along with Jemima Puddle-Duck, Benjamin Bunny, and Squirrel Nutkin. Her illustrations were absolutely beautiful.

I don't have one favorite story. I did like to read mystery books like Alfred Hitchcock and the three Investigators.

Either "Into the Woods" or "The Tale of Squirrel Nutkin" by Beatrix Potter
Both were stories my grandma use to read me when I was younger
probably why I love fairy tales and talking animal stories so much now

I'd have to say that my favorite story as a child was "Outside Over There" by Maurice Sendak. I also really enjoyed his "Where the Wild Things Are" story as well. I have always thought that even though his books were my favorites as a child that some of his stories as quite odd ones to be children books. But I guess that is the way a brilliant mind works.

It's a toss-up between Robin Hood and the Arthurian legends. Yes, I was an odd child.

I'm afraid there are too many of them. I remember loving The Last Unicorn, The Neverending Story, a book that's called "Alice: The Girl From Earth" in English, was written by Kir Bulychev and is technically a science-fiction for children (good enough to read even if you're an adult, though), and also Maya the Bee, (German users will know it as Die Biene Maja, and if there are any other Czechs, of course it's Včelka Mája), animated TV series I used to be completely caught in back when I was little.
