New Feature: KofK Market System! [UPDATE]
Posted: Feb 18th, '11, 00:32

Hello people,
I'm happy to announce that today, I completed the work on the KofK Market System, and it's finally going online!
The page's top menu now contains a link to the Market, where you can create auctions for your items, quest material and even Fairy Coins! Other users can bid on these items, or buy them for a BuyNow price in Food Points or Fairy Coins, depending on what method of sales you choose!
In short, it works much like eBay or any other auction system. A few users have been beta-testing the system for us, so there are already tons of items for sale. Just have a look, I hope you like it.
Have fun!
[UPDATE]
I just built the option into the account settings (in "Profile") to not receive PM notifications from the Market System, if anyone feels they get too much.
[UPDATE]
Since it seemed a good idea, I implemented the shop price lookup for the selling form. Now you see the shop price for all items that can be regularly bought at the shops directly above the form lines where you enter your prices.
[UPDATE]
The min bid increase option is in place now. Now you can set a minimum value at the selling form, and bidders have to bid at least this amount of FP for each bid. It is of course possible to bid more than the system suggests.
Sorry to all who were affected by me breaking the BuyNow option for a while in the process.
[UPDATE]
I just finished build an Item Preview for all items - someone had proposed such a thing, and it seemed a rather good idea.
Now you get a "Click here to get an item preview" link in the auction detail view, and you can see the sold item on a neutral avatar in a popup.
[UPDATE]
Guys, I just finished building the cancel option.
You may now cancel any of your auctions if there is no starting bid (and thus no bidding) or nobody has bid on it and it is within an hour of creation (because otherwise someone might be watching an auction for days to bid on it when it's near the end, and this cancel option should really be for people who accidentally set wrong prices and suchlike).
Have fun!
