[UPDATE] Server maintenance done for now

I am continuing the maintenance work on our servers, which will likely cause one or two downtimes during the day. Please be aware and if you encounter disconnects/logouts/server errors, simply come back later.

Today, on 6th December, I will initiate a rather big operation shifting things around on our servers. I'm quite sure there will be a rather long downtime, approx. about one hour, and I'm planning to have that downtime within the window between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM (UTC+1).
We will then have another day or two to work on the solution, and have another bigger downtime Tuesday or Wednesday. I'll announce as soon as I can predict more precisely when that'll be.

As you will have noticed, the downtime took a much longer than I had promised. This was due to the fact that I made straight on with the next steps I was planning to do in a day or two, which in turn was because the old server turned out to be even weaker than I had hoped for, so I had to change plans and improvise...
You may be seeing the wuffel.kofk.de address currently, which you should not go and save, the address will switch back to kofk.de or http://www.kofk.de, as it used to be. So don't go updating your bookmarks, this name will disappear as soon as the DNS in the world have caught up to the change.
You may also have noticed that I switched off the forum search feature. This feature was taken down because it uses up large amounts of database space, and I'll have to have a good long think about it if we're going to put that one back on again, which would surely require some tweaks and fudging, and currently there are more urgent issues on my schedule.
I can only hope this whole action did some good to our lag problems, we'll have to see the next few days... Sorry for the long downtime, and have fun!
