Luckily, or unluckily, I'm disabled so Medicaid covers my medications and therapist.
I feel like everyone should be able to see a therapist and get medications without going broke.
Every person - no matter what age, race, gender, etc all require medical attention.
They should be able to have it without it putting them into debt.
I really need my teeth worked on but Medicaid doesn't cover dental here.
I can't afford to get dental care so my teeth are really bad...

Preach. DX
Medicaid here requires you to be below 18% of the poverty level, so in my case, can't make more than like $400/month for a family of three. How they expect us to live on $400/month is beyond me.

The rich get richer and the poorer get poorer and deader Bu
Medicaid here says "Did you know we cover dental?"
No, you don't. You cover x-rays and cleanings.
My teeth need a ton of work and you fools don't cover that.

Trying to get your kids a dentist when they're on Medicaid is a huge pain. I called office after office with almost the same conversation each time.
"Hello, are you accepting new patients?"
"Yes! What kind of insurance do they have?"
"Medicaid."
*click*
"Hello? ...Hello??"
My son had a huge cavity in one tooth because his dad refused to let him brush his teeth and I ended up having to pay $1000 out of pocket to get the kids' cavities taken care of.

I'm down for that 8u
Yeah, dental care is expensive if you don't have insurance.
I had a dentist listing off all the work I need done as if I had the money to do it.
I even told them I was disabled and have Medicaid.
They didn't care at all :\

Hi guys. I had surgery on Monday and have been recovering. I had to dig out the laptop because I have online appointments today.
I have medicaid too but it's almost impossible to find a dentist here as well. I managed to get an appointment back in August or so and the appointment isn't until November. And the office is a couple of hours away. Ugh.
We ran out of water at my place the day before yesterday and I'm like this timing is impeccable! Right when I have open wounds! Thankfully they managed to haul in some water yesterday so I didn't have to go too long without. We have a cistern that we fill with water on a monthly basis and have to make sure to monitor it closely or it can run out. Then there's no water for washing hands or flushing toilets or any other less important things.
I'm very on board with the eating of the rich. This is the perfect time for some nice chili!

I'm glad the surgery went well. Sending you healing thoughts for your recovery.
Three months' waiting for a dentist's appointment is insane. Healthcare needs to be more accessible.
It's a good thing that your water supply was replenished yesterday, but when are they going to resume running water?
