My mom talks about this doctor at the clinic and she says he spotted my Agoraphobia easily.
She said he's probably who helped me get my SSI.
I don't remember him at all, though...
Huh...I've done a few sessions with my sleep doctor on video chat on the phone and never had an issue oO
It's weird that they couldn't hear you on your phone.
I'm sorry you were inconvenienced like that.

i talk to my therapist on google meet, but instead of cancelling when there are sound issues she works things out with me, like moving to a phone call. she's a freelance therapist though, not under another agency, so she gets to make her own decisions about things like that.

Someone told me I should have sessions online but I don't know if they even do that at the clinic.
My sleep doctor isn't part of the clinic where my therapist is.

i see, that makes sense.
there was an instagram page in my country that aggregated info on different therapists including freelance ones, with their focus areas/expertise. i chose mine cause she was queer affirmative, her expertise was with the specific issues i needed to work through, and also because she was close to my age, and had had a liberal arts education like me. i thought she'd be a good fit and she was.
this was after trying a different therapist in college and finding they didn't click.

They used to have a psychiatrist there too but they got rid of that part of the clinic.
I don't know why either. He was the one that gave me medication xD
I'm sure they have something like that here. I've just never had to check it out?

I like my therapist, but she's $125/session, I don't have insurance, and I'm low income. DX
She moved to encrypted phone calls after all the COVID mess hit and we just continued doing phone sessions. While this saves me some time since I don't have to sit in her office for 45 minutes to find out that the patient before me has taken up my appointment, it makes it harder to pay her because there are always issues paying over the phone. I'm not sure why her office hasn't set up some sort of online payment portal yet. Unless they did in the past and stopped due to non-payment. I have a lot of issues out of my clients not paying their online invoices.
