Moi - Burning nerve endings is pretty intense. But if there is no nerve you can't feel pain. So it's probably pretty nice for her. I think that in a semi healthy person the nerves might grow back a bit so she might need some maintenance on them.

I also have a high pain tolerance. Kevin is a huge baby when it comes to pain. It's a little annoying. lol.

Maybe you should look into getting a back brace? That might help.

We just need to drop you into a vat of moisturizer. lol.

Audriella - Most eye drops sting me too. I think it's because I usually wait until my eyes are crazy dry to put in drops. lol.

My trash goes out on Sunday to be picked up on Monday.

I’m pretty paranoid about eye moisture and artificial tears, because it’s semi controllable and I only have one semi-good eye.

I also project a lot.

I have no idea if my pain tolerance is low or if my pain is that bad. I feel like I get freaky types of pain, like phantom stabbing near my eyes, or slicing through the flesh of my underarm, or scraping my bone.

It makes it hard to deal with.

I can see that. I would be paranoid too. I don't blame you at all hun.

I think I might do the same thing with the projecting. lol.

If it's nerve pain that you're having then that is some of the worst pain that you can have. So don't feel bad complaining or talking about it.

I have a question that is kind of personal?

Can you speak? I know that you are Deaf and unable to hear, but I can't remember you ever saying anything about your ability to talk.

Not personal! I can sort of speak, but it mostly sounds like nonsense. This wasn’t always the case, much like my hearing. It’s hard to explain.

My mom responds to my voice, but I secretly think she reads my mind when I make sound. :o Sort of. Badly, though. It’s frustrating.

(Also, I don’t consider myself culturally Deaf because I don’t participate in the community.)

Ah. I can kind of understand I think. When you can't hear your voice sounds a little weird? But it's good you can make noises. That way you can get someone's attention.

Some moms are really good at knowing what their kids need. Some are really bad at it. And then there are the ones in the middle. lol.

Oh yah. Same. Like I would like to be more involved with the community but my hands don't let me sign very quick at all and I can't remember really well to communicate effectively. But knowing some signs has really helped Kevin and I communicate when I'm nonverbal. It's a lot easier for me to sign than speak sometimes. It's very weird.

Also I'm only hard of hearing not actually deaf.

I should brush up on my ASL

I live about halfway between two large deaf communities so it's a useful language to know, just in case

I think that it's a good language to learn for anybody. It has so many useful applications.

It’s more practical than trying to mumble around dental tools in your mouth.
