blankets are big projects!
I've always wanted to learn to make socks, because I'm picky about socks, but they seem like they'd be pretty hard to do properly. Have you done socks before? Are they as hard as they seem?

I havent. Ive watched a lot of videos on youtube.
Ive seen them knitted, crocheted and made with a loom and we have all 3 of those so I can definetely try. I asked my sister, shes knitted some things before and she kind of gave me a "ehhh kind of" answer. So I guess we'll just have to try and see how it goes~ c:

That's something else that would be useful, linking good tutorials for each other.
What kind of loom do you have?

Um, Im not sure. My sister says it's to big for socks and to small for hats. But it'd be good for baby hats lol. Awww, I've never used it but that looks a little easier for someone trying to start out.

Wait, can't you usually do smaller projects on bigger looms by just not starting out with as many threads?

Yeah, next time I go to my aunt's house I'll take some pictures for you.
No, I didn't actually get to do any with her. It was when I was really young. When I had gotten older her arthritis had gotten pretty bad so she couldn't do the really tiny stuff any more.
Yeah! Discussing patterns and maybe posting pictures of our projects and stuff. Lots of fun.
I currently have a stuffed bat in the works. But it's not crocheted or knitted. It's just sewed.
I have no idea about looms. lol.

Oh, a stuffed bat comes with a built-in dead-line to get it done in time to put it up for Halloween! That was clever of you.

Yeah, bats are my favorite animals too! So cute!
It's the first time that I have ever tried sewing anything and of course I was silly and used black fabric. And I don't have anything white that shows up on the material besides chalk. Ugh.
I need to get something to line out the pattern better.

I was so confused at first about why black fabric would be a mistake, and then read further and realized you were trying to use a pattern and transfer marks. >.< It was a mistake for the process, not the result! Okay, then.
I have been known to prick patterns and then use water-soluble glue through it. It makes the patterns stiffer, but that's okay, and the texture comes through marking the fabric below to tell you where your lines are, and when you wash it the first time it comes right out.

Yes. I'm using a pattern. I have a simple bat and then a more complex bat. I think I messed up the simple pattern already because I didn't do the ears correctly.
Interesting. I might have to try that. Think that stick glue would work?
