I find first person to be unbearable now since the only ones I read in first person are teen books. Except there was one that I always saw in the fantasy section that I ended up getting as an ebook because it was on sale for $2. It was in first person and holy poop, was the main character boy thirsty and dumb. Like this author kept repeating the same thoughts all the time in different ways. It was as if she was trying to reach a word count for each chapter and didn't know how but add random thirsty thoughts and repeat the same things. It was so dumb, but it stupidly intrigued me to want to read the next book. Just not going to pay for it so once I ever get my butt up to the library to borrow it.

I love the hunger games! I can't wait for the prequel to come out! I hope I won't be disappointed in it since I hold those books up to such high standards since they were my favorites in high school.

I will have to get my butt started on reading my next book. I was trying to finish a manga before starting it, but meh, the manga is kind of boring, so I'll start reading my next book this week at some point.

@Rubie: Well, it was young adult fantasy, so first person sounds legit  But present tense I'm not sure about.

I've never read The hunger Games, they're on my TBR list :mcblush:

I will probably finish The Scarlet Pimpernel tonight. I think I only have around 25 pages left.

Yeah, don't think I could do present tense with first person.

I made myself feel old yesterday because my birthday is Friday and I can honestly not remember how old I am right now to know how old I'll be then.

Happy birthday!

I remember being about 10 years old and asking my grandmother how old she was. She said she didn't remember. I was like, "How can you not remember!?" And I remember her sister thinking she was turning 59 but then realizing she was turning 60 and being bummed about that lol. But I'm already having trouble remembering too!

Haha I am like a memory card when it comes to birthdays and age :P

I think I aimed too high with 15 books this year ._. But we'll see.

I haven't read the Hunger Games yet, but it's also on my reading list!

I keep thinking I'm 25 and then reminding myself I'm actually 26. So I'm on my way to forgetting XD I sometimes stumble and have to think to what year I was born and do some quick math. I begin to understand why people back in history didn't care about their age, it changes constantly and nothing comes of it and it doesn't really matter because you're still kind of the same person and maybe you don't feel your age and you gotta work anyways and all that stuff :mcargh:

@Rubie: Yeah, present tense is really weird to read, too immediate for me.

@Julez: I can't even remember my goal XD I think it was 12 books but I might change it to 10 as I'm being slowed down by life :mcheh:

When I was 25-26 I kept telling people I was 27 which is why I still have issues remembering how old I am now that I am 27 (almost 28 lol) My mom one year told everyone at a table how old she was and we were like "Uh no, you're not." lol she was happy that she was younger.

I decided Sunday I am starting my book regardless where I am at with my other things. I already am taking a 2-3 week break and I still need to read 13 more books!
