"mchappy" For my regular knuffels I name them for the element that they are. For my wilds I sometimes name them for an element. Like if it is a merman I would name him after something to do with water. I don't always do that with my wilds. I like to name them just whatever feels right.

I used to play MMORPG a lot, back then I had to think of at least dozens of names for my characters. Most of the names were just lesser variants of the older generations, though. Right now I'm planning to use all of those names for my knuffels

my knuffel naming is pretty random. i often use names of characters from books, tv series and such.

Well I am not pretty sure what to name my first knuffel as well. But maybe I will name them according to their element or just name plain random names. "mchappy"

Well, it depends.... Many of my knuffels share their names with Celtic gods, but I have also many who have name in Finnish, because I like that language. I have also few who are named after some member of my favourite band, my favourite film/serial/anime character or just have usernames of my friends as their name :D

I think people who can pull them off are very admirable! :>
I mostly like older names, usually Victorian-era popular names.
A good chunk of mine are flowers or plants, because there's a lot
of overlap X3
I'm tilting that way, but some are placeholders where I couldn't think
of a good name in the moment. ^^;
You'd be surprised at how many names came from plants, though,
and how mundane some sound: Susan, Veronica, Erica, Heather...!

I usually pick a name of a character in either a story i read, a manga a show movie or whatever that the knuffel makes me think of, and name it like that.

I just pick names I like, but I do have a naming system:
If I'm training the knuffel in a particular element, not its own, I choose a name that starts with the same letter as the element.
So, if I'm training a knuffel in the light element, its name starts with L, in Fire, its name starts with F, etc.
If I'm sticking with it's original element, I just avoid names that start with L, F, etc.
That way I can quickly tell what I'm training the knuffel for, since I can never remember.
