@Hikari: Holy wow.
The only things I can probably understand are used in Chinese. xD

Should I use suffixes around here?
I don't quite like them. OTL|||

Kaiyumi wrote:@Mikael Would I be able to just call you by Mikael? It sounds better to me <3. I don't tend to use suffixes a lot, though I will be calling Ayame by -san and -sensei every now and then xD. And that's why they use boku o3o. When I'm on the convention forum sites for down here, I've noticed people in the chats spammed "boku" whenever someone says "desu" a lot.

@Ayame I think a cat mascot like Mikael suggested earlier would be a lot better than an onigiri <3. I don't know about the two tailed thing though xD. An onigiri would be too plain and it'd make you want to eat it o_o"...but other than that, yay new lessons <3 I'll try to find some time to study them xD. I've been busy lately, and since there's a con coming up, I need to work on my cosplay <3!

Well, if we're dropping suffixes, then Mikael is fine.

Two-tailed cats have something to do with Japanese mythology, I think. I'm actually not too familiar with Japanese myths, but I like the thought of having a two-tailed character. Maybe it could be a cat-boy who likes to eat bento and onigiri? Then I would tailor his appearance according to that?

What are you cosplaying?

Doesn't Nekoneko already belong to some anime?

A two tailed cat is called a Neko-mata (NEH-koh MAH-tah), which means "forked cat" and is a Japanese Yokai that can shape shift as an offensive weapon. Any other questions just ask ^ ^

@Mikael Alright, I'll just call you Mikael then <3 and I see nothing wrong with suffixes, so I think we should keep them. If we don't want to use them though, we don't have to xD. And hm, maybe. It looks to me like it would work out <3. I don't know about their mythology much, either. I wasn't really interested in that. I was more interested in their swords and stuff <_<"... Also, I'm cosplaying something similar to a Japanese version of Little Red Riding Hood <3. The con I'm going to is senshi-con.

@Ayame Who's Nekokoneko? XD I've read Azumanga Daioh, but not that far. And I've forgotten most, since it was complete random. And when I was typing out the first post, I pushed "cut" when I meant to press "copy", just in case I'd lose that post if I pressed another button xD;. So pretty much, I lost it all and had to retype that post T_T.

@Hikari Your real name is Tori? o_O" I have a friend named Tori xD

@Meepy Hey xD and you don't have to use suffixes here if you don't want to o3o"...I guess.

Ahh, I edited again. xD
All I know is that... There are traditional Chinese characters in kanji, and the hiragana and katakana are pronunciation-like things, I think.

Welll, when you read a newspaper, it's in kanji, right? >_<

It`d be a mix of kanji and hiragana. Katakana is used for foreign words, like your name and stuff like that.

It's probably mostly written in Kanji. And there are some things you can't write using Kanji so they use Hiragana/Katakana instead. Those two are like the alphabet. Hiragana is the traditional one while Katakana is used for "loan words." Or words that came from different languages. Kanji is basically Chinese characters that are used so that you don't have to write out huge sentences of Hiragana. X_x

The only reason why I know Kanji is because I'm actually Taiwanese. XD Heheh... *getting away in class with writing Kanji* ('Cause sometimes I'll use a Kanji and then forget how you pronounce it in Japanese. >.>)

Yeah, my name's Tori. ~_^ My sister also has several two friends named Tori, but they're spelled differently. XD

And Neko ko Neko is a cat character from Azumanga Daioh. I think it's form some anime they watch in the ani-manga.

Hikari: Oh please dont make me read that.

Mikael: I dont know what we're talking about anymore. >.>;;

Meepy: Welcome. :D You have to know about 5000 Kanji to read a newspaper. As Koi said, Katakana is for foreign words. Kanji is Chinese and represent an idea. (darn that was tomorrow's lesson) Hiragana is used to write the rest. :3

Yumi-chan: I can't remember when nekokoneko comes up, but its two cats. *goes to get a picture*
