I was awake... :mcgloom:
I was holding her and getting her the steam bath, it seemed to help for a little... but then she got worse :mccry:

Idk... been hanging out with Reji off and on, and keep going between feeling sort of numb to feeling broken... I think the numb is from Meadow passing a few months ago...
I wish I knew what happened though... she's had a weird breathing thing since before she turned one, and tried meds for it which had no effect... :mcgloom:

Oh... during that time, I see :c
Few months doesn't seem long enough..

So the meds weren't for anything particular? I can't say anything, since I don't know the first thing about such respiratory problems... I'm so sorry :c

she had been on meds for a possible respiratory infection and an antibiotic a few months ago, they were twice a day for a whole month and was meant to help if it were a respiratory infection. but it didn't really have any effect. I also read though that rats can have asthma.
Reji seems to be doing alright, she seems to like getting so much attention. I'm not sure if she understands what happened or not though.
how have things been on your end?

Oh I see :o

I hope Reji continues to be alright.
Slightly off topic but I always thought Reji was "Reiji". like Japanese lol
I'm good! :) I'm slowly warming up my hands to draw, and practicing. I recently came back from a church retreat and I'm a month away from school starting so... resting and drawing while I can.

lol I know someone else too who keeps typing/calling her "Reiji" too lol
it's basically just "Reggie" with a j instead of g's :mcheh:
she's been super clinging/cuddly the past few days, it's so adorable :mcsquee:
(she even joined me on half of my morning stretches the other day)

what kind of church retreat? that would be neat if it was one of those retreats where they let you travel
I'm trying to draw more too, but I want to redraw characters from one story I was working on and draw some from a separate story and draw some characters I made in phone apps :mcsweat: so sometimes I just skip drawing from not knowing who to draw next *facepalm*

Ahhh I see!
That's really cute! I can't imagine, I'd be so scared not to squish her lol

Hmmm, like during free time? If so, sure.

Oof, sounds like a lot! I also redrew some old characters, but it was for practice/warm up.

it was cute :mccute:
no squishing her though, I'd keep an eye (or a hand) out to make sure where she was. she joined me for some of the stretches again today too :mccute:

like how some church retreats have where you travel and help build homes or whatnot.

I love your avi again, btw, reminds me of a weeping mermaid sort of look.
my issue with redrawing some older characters is that I used to try to go for a more 'realistic' sort of look, the smaller head and broader shoulders how we have in real life. but my drawing style now is more bubbly/round, so I end up having to adjust the character's hair and such to fit properly on a bigger/rounder head. :mcheh:

Aw sounds nice :)

Ahh I see! Like missions, yes? :D

Thank you ^^ I wasn't really trying to go for anything, but it reminds me of a weeping demon haha

Haha!! xD I don't think I ever had that problem, my style has always been more on the chibi-anime side lol

yea, like missions churches sometimes do. I thought you meant like those types of church retreats where you travel and build things or talk to people about faith :mchappy:

are you going to draw your avi like the past ones?

my style kept fluctuating for a while, I started with... oval headed characters... :mcsweat: like big ovals with tiny rectangular shaped bodies. then I tried more anime/proportioned types. then chibi-esque. then back to trying to do more proportional characters, small heads wider shoulders. and now it's been more chibi-esque/cartoon again. like that character I showed you and Miss Nikki awhile ago. just funny sometimes drawing older characters who had smaller heads with my current style since I have to adjust their faces/hair.
I have been finding though, that characters I've redrawn look more correct in how I wanted them to look. like one I redrew was meant to be around 11-12 but he looked in his late teens-early twenties in the original and now he looks more accurate to the age I meant for him to be.

also, Nan! omg, Nan!
I got a job! :mcsquee:

No haha, although I'd love to do that. It's funny, because I was just talking about something similar today! I wasn't so inclined to do teaching as a career, although that was an option... but I've heard about teaching English at a Christian school in Thailand, and it sounds super cool! :o

That's my plan... some time xD But right now, I'm busy with school, I haven't touched my sketchbooks/tablet for a while.

I think it's good that it's changing! You're finding your style and trying things out :)
Drawing age is kinda hard for me, so I could relate. I want them to look twenties, but I tend to go for cuter styles so they end up looking younger than they actually are!

CONGRATSSSS
How's your job? :D
