Ah, it sounded like you were talking about supplements in general.
And I don't know which ones Akili was talking about, since there was talk of both vitamin D and iron before.
It's good to know that vitamin D is something one can just try out though...

I think its said that esp in winter or in places where you don't get a lot of sun in a day its good for everyone to take some extra vitamin D.

idk if there's like a range, with some supplements being really strong or such that you shouldn't take them if you don't know if you need them?

I got my iron supplements through my doctor

Mh, there might be different dosages, yeah.
But in general it's probably always a good idea to check with your doctor if possible.

And always a good idea to not exagerrate your intake, I have an uncle who just downs half the bottle of anything he's prescribed if my aunt doesn't stop him haha c':

sometimes she jokes that she'll let him just so she can get some peace while he sleeps it off

Oh wow, that sounds dangerous, depending on what it is that he's prescribed :o
Yeah, if your doctor tells you how much to take of something, you should do as he says...

yikes, I wonder why he does that?

Iron is easy at least to test for because they're constantly calling me to go donate blood, and of course they have to test your iron level first before they do that (which about 4/5ths of the time I am low on, which is why they keep recommending supplements). It's the vitamin D I wouldn't know about without testing, but that one I think is not bad in terms of if you don't need it.... and it's common to need it in this area. We are usually very overcast for most of the year.

I have no idea, he doesn't have any real reason to and he doesn't have any memory issues or such that'd make it normal for him to accidentally overdose or such. I think he really thinks its funny c':

luckily my aunt is taking none of his shit and doesn't let him take more than he really needs xD

He's also the kind of person to really go for things the moment he thinks of it. If he gets curious in the sense of 'wonder what happens when I do this' he'll just do it right then and there.

putting a fork in a toaster and toucing an electric fence on purpose is fun to him in a 'lets discover what this feels like' way haha

Oh man that uncle sounds like he needs to be watched closely X'D But also I bet he knows some cool stuff.

Yeah, overcast countries tend to be low. Apparently most of the population of the UK is low. Just not as criminally low as me who tries not to go outside if possible 8D

Ahhh, I hope he doesn't end up as a Darwin Award; that kind of behavior can be really dangerous! So glad your aunt is there!

he could definitely compete for a guinness world record haha with the stupid shit he gets up to

one time we were having a garden party and he and the other dads were hanging up lights everywhere. On big metal ladders. Impulse control being 0 as it is my uncle decides to find out how it really feels when you get to the top of the ladder and just jump off. He finished hanging his last light and then just did that, looked down and hup

the worst damage was luckily to his pants haha he ripped one knee of his pants open and the rest was stained with grass etc

I try not to think too much about what goes on in his head sometimes, he's in his 40's now so well he's made it ok this far c':
