I know right. xD
I pride myself in it. Thus I annoy people to crap. More often than not I get a response like "Yes, I truly care that, despite the size that would insinuate otherwise, it's the two-engined 737 that keeps me out of my sleep instead of the four-engined 747. Would you please shut up for the rest of the day?"
People just have no respect for Merrypedias nowadays!

Yes, I assumed it would be a WWII soldier, since they are very recognizable as Germans and frankly, and don't get me wrong on this, I'm not a nazi, but I think the uniforms and such were way more impressive than they are now. Now all soldiers look alike, and the uniforms are not as stylish as they were in history.
My favorites are still the British Navy uniforms from the Napoleonistic war, but I really think the Germans in WWII had something... admirable.
But seriously, I wouldn't want a Knuffel with a tiny mustache and a swastika on his sleeve, and I don't think anyone would. x'D
What did the Germans look like during the Napoleonistic war, I wonder? :o

Either way, I would love to see your soldier :D
Note to self: Add Napoleonistic British Navy Captain to your to-do list. <3
Ooooor. Napoleonistic British Aerial Captain :mclove:
You can use character styles, no? I mean, if they're part of a group in a story, but not an exact character?

*giggles* Well. Not many people care for airplanes I suppose?

Merry I'm no nazi too, but I have to agree they had some pretty uniforms back then. I just don't dare to say that aloud here x'D
I googled those Navy uniforms and ... uh no. Not really my style^^;
Here you have tons of German uniforms from that time http://homepage-andreas-meininger.de/DE ... s_1863.htm
It should be allowed. It's no copyrighted design. Firn said that outfits used by a certain profession are allowed.

@Myth: You don't try to tell me that in Stuttgart 1980 people were shot when they went into forests, do you? รด.o

@Ruby: Thanks :3

Sadly they don't :(
Such a shame.

Hahaha yeah you can't really say that aloud anywhere I'm afraid.

Ehm, it's not that simple I'm afraid? I mean, I said 'Napoleonistic British Aerial Captain'. Which, if you think back a little, is rather impossible, since they didn't have airplanes yet back then. :p
In my favorite books, the His Majesty's Dragon series, they have an Aerial Corps which exists of dragons instead of airplanes. They have about the same uniform as the Navy, but in bottle green. So they only exist in a certain book - but if I just use the uniform, not the rest of a certain character? That's alright, right?

Thanks for that site by the way!

I just read British Captain xD Okayyyy. Hmhmhm. Even if you make a design inspired by the book if it has no complete description or pictures in the book it's your own design. And I don't know if they can put their copyright on an existing old uniform of which they just changed the colour.
That would be my guess^^;

Hm, that's true. If I feel like it, I'll just try. :D
And they're gonna have a little dragon on their shoulder. <3

But you have to draw a tiny one. Unless your Knuffel is supposed to be 10 meters tall :D

The longer the poll runs the more votes for female. *kicks poll*

Yeah, I know I have to draw a tiny one. But it won't be quite true to the books. :p

Then stop the poll and make a male!
