Hello fellow genshin fans!
I've been playing for a while now; didn't get Itto myself which was meh but I do have zhongli... who... isn't really built...
Don't judge me haha, I tend to just want to play characters I like and have fun with. Currently I'm trying to get my HuTao to friendship 10 and she's been a BLAST to play. Love her to bits.
I don't really have a 'main' because I swap characters out so often, but I would say Yanfei is my 'main' :3

It's fine if your characters aren't built yet. I've got so many peeps at Level 1 and max or near-max constellations that it's not even funny. xD
And I do the same, though all my mains are my husbandos. 
Hu Tao is super cute and fun to dash with, so good luck!

having maxed constellations is so cool!
my luck with banners is not great so I mainly have constellations of characters I don't even play like Lisa, Barbara and Xiangling lol.

I totally get just wanting to have fun with the characters and game itself.
Hu Tao and Yanfei are both cool characters! It was nice to meet and talk with them during lantern festival~

@Rakuyo, Heheheh, I could have Barbara at like, 40 constellations if that was a thing. She's just everywhere. And I generally hate using Catalyst characters, so my max constellation Yanfei is only useful for Liyue ressources, but I already have Qiqi for that, who's also a sword user. Oops. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
And it was really nice to talk to them during the festival, yeah! I repeatedly spoke to both Zhongli and Xiao though, because they're my faves. xD

I joined the game because of Zhongli LOL I really like Itto and his himbo energy but I never got him ):
I'm on guarantee right now so hoping to get Ayato if possible!
Who do you both currently building?
I've finally built Raiden (cause I swap my overworld team so much and never do the abyss lol) and am working on Yae rn

Zhongli is the perfect reason for joining, tho, lovely walking encyclopedia broke geo daddy that he is. I joined just because I love open world games, stayed for the husbandos. 
And OH SHIT, you also think Itto's a total himbo??? Thk u, I'm so happy to find a like-minded person. xD
But can you believe this dumb man's passive skill is called >Woodchuck Chucked<? I can't get over it. Himbo helps you gain more wood when you smack trees.
And good luck with getting Ayato!
As for who I'm building, I'm trying to get Venti and Kazuha to their final ascension (and level 90). There's literally no reason to, seeing how expensive that is for the minor boost, but they deserve it. :)
(I did Zhongli and Diluc earlier last month, so just those two babies left. God, I hate the puppet boss and I just don't have enough Cecilias. xD)

I'm not sure if it counts as building - but I mostly maxing talents of my main geo team right now.
Also prefarming ascention and talent materials for Kazuha.
For a long time I was trying to get good cryo artifacts for Kaeya, but that domain probably hates me and so far I can't even get right main stats.
It's also one of the reasons why I stopped playing reactions, since I like cryo but it feel impossible to build.

maxing characters for no reason - I totally get it. I would max my Gorou if it was not the mechanical array boss for hinm. It's the only boss I really hate lol.

I've gotten Yanfei and Hutao to level 90 pourely because I really enjoy them; and I'm hopefully gonna triple crown Hutao.
So glad to see the Kazuha praise here too he's literally in every team for me.I really need to get him to 80 but I hate fighting the Maguu Kenki haha.
@Rakuyo I also really struggle with cryo artifacts; been trying to build Ayaka but man it's a struggle.

Yanfei is the first pyro user I enjoy playing, before getting her I used to avoid pyro at all costs haha <3 hope to get her to 90 someday too.
I'm not even sure I'll ever play Kazuha , since I don't understand anemo at all and don't have suitable teammates for him. But he's so precious and my top-3 fav characters of all.
Ayaka is so cute! Her quest was such a delight, especially her dance <3

Did anyone pull for Raiden or Kokomi? I wish you luck if you want them!
