@Mikael Hart

Thanks for the advice. I haven't filled out any character profiles/sheets in forever! Maybe it's time to give my less-developed OCs some attention that way.

Yeah normally I don't care, but this time it's important that she stays in the dark till Christmas.

Ummm...all I know is it's good ice cream. XD

I think I know how to fix my story The Magic Ring, but it's going to be a slow processes. First off, I need to fix up my OCs at least the story description. I haven't drawn them yet. I've been busy working on my Disney art and fixing it up.

^ What films/etc. do you draw Disney art for?

Um...for fun?

I've been doing a variety of films. Just animations. I don't plan on doing much of super heroes or Pixar or tv series or Star Wars. I might do Hiro from Big Hero 6, but I haven't been able to convince myself. It's a ball series. I don't plan on doing any of the animals unless they're anthro like Robin and Maid Marian. I mainly have heroes and heroines, but I do have some villains. Link: Chaos Empress

@mementomori

Sounds good!

@Death Candy

Sounds fun. I like drawing things in a set too, though most of those are OC-related.

It's more tiring. I gotta fix them up to look nicer and coming up with different this and that isn't too easy for me. And I'm working on a wild knuffel.

Ugh...I'm tired. But it's still too early to get the kid to bed.

Tomorrow, while Batman is in school I'm going to see about working on art. I also got to keep an eye out for mom's surprise.

Ahh, good luck on all of that. I'd like to draw more as well, but the free time I do have end up getting invested into other things. XD;

Is there an activity you could have her do that won't use up too much of your energy?

Aha, good luck! I hope my packages come in before Friday myself; I need to get one of them wrapped by Friday evening at latest.

Hey guys!
I wonder, which of your OCs has your favorite design? I'm just curious, hahah.

I'm also feeling pretty artsy, so, if you'd like, I can draw a little crappy doodle of your OCs, hahahah. Probably in a chibi style though.
Sorry if I don't get to yours, I'm really bad with requests and commissions. (Especially complex designs.)
This is the part where I show examples of my art but I'm strangely too shy to upload them.
Anyway, have the lowest expectations.

I hope this is allowed since this is an OC hangout and not an art hangout, hahahah.

Yeah I get some free time, but like right now I'm more into just thinking and taking care of my mom.

Nope. She's too easily distracted.

Well it hasn't come in yet. But it's in the next state so it should be coming between tomorrow and Saturday.

@Stardust:

OOOO! That would be my Empress! Empress Xue tuzi I wanna fix the bottom part of her dress, but other than that I love how she turned out. Don't let her looks fool you, she can wield a sword like a samurai. Yes I know samurai are Japanese and she's Chinese, but for the story it's all mixed in.

Don't be shy, I'd like to see your art. Mines not that great either, but it doesn't stop me.

Oh, that's a good question!

My favorite is ( Gavril/Ara ), who I still need to draw dressed up in his modern-wear (he has a few outfits to choose from, at least). Here's one of my favorite commissions of him ( x ).

One of the reasons that I like his design so much is because when I was first creating him, I remember wanting a character who was recognizable, but not too generic (like every anime school boy) or flashy (with colorful hair/eyes). I wanted him to be POC, and wanted him to have moles, and hair that was fun to draw (which turned out to be difficult because people aren't used to drawing textured hairstyles on dudes).

I'm quite happy with how he turned out, as many aspects of his physical appearance contribute to his overall character.

My friends have differing opinions on their favorites that I've created though. Ocean really likes ( Pavan ), and ( Edain ) was pretty popular on here, back in the early days of KofK. (Old art! DX)

Which of your OCs are your favorite(s) in terms of design?

Pfft, your art is awesome, ngl! I really love your attention to detail; that's not the sort of care that many artists have, regardless of level of talent. I think being able to take from a reference and draw with care is already a skill itself. But you have both drawing ability and attention to detail.

Aha, dude, everything is allowed on here, as long as you don't offend people. We're all just really chill.

@Death Candy

Hmm? In what ways are you having to take care of your mom in your free time, may I ask? I had to help watch my grandmother some years back, which meant I was cooking for her, mostly, and tidying up after her. She mostly watched movies for entertainment.

Oh. What do you do with Batman that takes up so much energy?

Ooh, I see.

Aha, I feel like it's normal to be shy about sharing your art. I still have a ways to go with mine, but looking back, I feel like I've come a ways too. A lot of that is thanks to my friends whom I've shared my art with in the past. I remember starting to draw on blank paper more often than lined (as suggested by an old friend), and coloring more often (as suggested by KC). Then I met other artists who'd let me watch them livestream so I could pick up techniques, or talked to other artist friends who would suggest programs or methods or corrections to improve my drawing. I look at online tutorials too, but it always helps to have someone there to help me out when I need it.

While drawing that profile of Gavril, I had a lot of help from the art group I was in. They were all amazing artists, but they were also so kind. I feel like I grew a lot with them, although I was constantly intimidated as heck. XD;
